The steam flooding was a widely used method for heavy oil recovery, and also was blocked by steam breakthrough and gravity segregation. The steam foam flooding was developed based on the foam's properties. There was no more good foaming agents for some particular reserviors, in which the stratum temperature of eservoir was higher than 300?.In this paper, a series of novel-style dialkylbenzene disulfonate foaming agents with different structures and performance were synthesized with linear chain?-alkene through three-step processes, including Friedel-Crafts alkyl reaction, sulfonation reaction and neutralization reaction. IR was used to identified their structures and purity. The reaction steps were simple and continued, and each step can make different foaming agent easily.The 1-tetradecene, 1-hexadecene and 1-octadecene were chosen to keep the temperature tolerance, foaming ability and stability. The alkylbenzene sulfonate had excellent temperature tolerance, so the benzene was added to the long-linear alkene's chain. More branch groups could affect the foam ability and stability, so the foaming agents'molecular structures had less branch groups, such as cresyl and benzyl.The sulfonic acid anion was hydrophilic group for its good water affinity and simple operation in reaction. There were double sulfonic acid anions in the foaming agents molecular, one was on the top of alkene, and the other was on the benzene ring. The novel structure had good water affinity and temperature tolerance.The catalytic agents were different in alkylbenzene reaction, such 98% H2SO4 and auto catalysis. In this paper a new solid acidic catalyst was made and used in the reaction, and there was a good effect in the reaction system.The foaming agents were assessed with waring blender method in normal temperature and were roasted in muffle for some hours to obtain thermal output characteristics. The foaming agent system selected by means of the core flow test in this paper was of better resistance factor under the environment of analog reservoir.
