As China's unique industrial waste contaminants,carbide slag has a large displacement.The main existing disposal method of carbide slag is replacing limestone on cement production.But due to the sharply declined market demand as well as national economic and environmental sustainability development requirements,carbide slag large-scale processing problem urgently needs to be changed.Carbide slag,whose main component is Ca(OH)2,is produced by the reaction of calcium carbide(CaC2)with water,and additionally it contains Fe,Si,Al,Mg and other impurities.If the impurities could be removed to realize the "Calcium-Carbide slag-Calcium" recycling,the waste can be turned into treasures,which will effectively solve the problems mentioned above,and also solve the lack of resources in production of calcium carbide.At the same time,the environmental damage caused by limestone mineral exploitation can be reduced.Aiming at using calcium carbide slag as a raw material for calcium carbide production,this paper carried out the experiment and optimized the operating parameters and structural parameters of carbide Slag Purification Hydrocyclone.In the research process,hydrocyclone separation method was adopted to achieve the removal of impurities in carbide slag;the limestone quality standard in calcium carbide production was accepted as the technical standard;and the energy consumption,production efficiency and purity of calcium carbide slag were the indicator system.The main contents of the paper and its innovations are as follows:This paper tested physical and chemical properties of carbide slag by sieving,titration,XRD and magnetic separation method.It also analyzed the influence regularity of composition,component content,composition density,mass size distribution and particle size distribution of calcium carbide slag on the content of calcium hydroxide in calcium carbide.Based on the limestone quality standard,the purity standard of Ca(OH)2 purified by calcium carbide slag was put forward;According to the basic theory and experience method of the hydrocyclone,the purification process and the structure of the carbide slag purification hydrocyclone were designed.By analyzing the basic principles and characteristics of turbulence model,near-wall treatment,multiphase model and Fluent solution method,a suitable method of numerical simulation on hydrocyclone was determined;Combined with the physical and chemical properties of carbide slag and purification process of hydrocyclone,mesh model,grid quality test method,Fluent simulation method,boundary condition setting method and related parameters calculation method in the simulation were analyzed;The reliability of numerical method on hydrocyclone was studied with the pure water simulation and multiphase simulation,and the influence of the number of grids and time step on the pressure,velocity and flow rate of hydrocyclone were analyzed,thus the number of grids and the time step of numerical simulation were determined.The Numerical Simulation Design of Experiments method which combined with the Design of Experiments method and Numerical Simulation method was presented,and the feasibility of the Numerical Simulation Design of Experiments method was verified by results comparison between the numerical simulation test and hydrocyclone separation test;Used the Central Composite of Numerical Simulation Experiment Design method,the operation parameters of hydrocyclone were optimized,and the optimized predicting results of operation parameters were obtained,then the feasibility of optimized predicting results were verified through the Fluent simulation and the separation test of hydrocyclone;Based on the operating parameters optimization,the Orthogonal of Numerical Simulation Experiments Design method was used on the structural parameters optimization of the hydrocyclone,and the structural parameters optimization were obtained,and then the feasibility of optimization results were verified through the Fluent simulation and the separation test of hydrocyclone.Based on the Numerical Simulation Experiment of operating parameters optimization of hydrocyclone,the influence rules of operating factors and their interaction on hydrocyclone separation performances were studied through the Variance Analysis;Based on the Numerical Simulation Experiment of structural parameters optimization of hydrocyclone,the influence rules of the structural factors on the hydrocyclone separation performances were studied through the Range Analysis;the flow field characteristics of the preliminary and optimized hydrocyclones were studied through the numerical simulation method,and then the effects of the structural factors on the flow field of the hydrocyclone were analyzed by comparison.
