Resource and environment are the basis for the human's survival and development.It is a vital parameter in the measurement of sustainability.Accompanying with the acceleration of new urbanization and industrialization,resource and environment have been profoundly changed by human activities.Issues such as resource shortage,environment pollution,ecology destruction,have severely affected the carrying capacity of regional resource environment.At the meantime,China's society is entering a new normal state.New requirements are put forward on economic society development pattern and resource environment exploitation mode.It has become the crucial problem on how to coordinate the relationship between sustaining,healthy and steady economic growth and resource environment protection to ensure sustainability.As the microcosm of China,resource environment carrying capacity issues in Henan are typical and representative.The resource environment carrying capacity is facing great challenges in the time of economic society transformation,resource environment deterioration and deepening of urbanization.Therefore,research on resource environment carrying capacity,making a further study on the state and its inner coordination,quantitatively identifying the differentiation characteristics from a spatio-temporal scale and driving mechanism,implementing the control and regulation more directedly and accurately,has a significant theoretical and practical meaning for resolving conflicts between economic society development and resource environment protection,seeking for new opportunities of sustainability.Taking advantage of spatial information technology such as RS and GIS,the dissertation carried on resource environment carrying capacity research,combining spatial analysis method,geographical theory model and spatial econometrical model.It proposed an approach system of "multilevel evaluation-spatio-temporal differentiation-driving mechanism-zoning regulation".The main research content and conclusion were as follows:(1)The resource environment carrying capacity was defined as: To ensure resource environment sustainable and ecological civilization realizable,the ability of regional resource and environment to bear the population and their producing,living and ecological activities,which would make the resource environment system in a coordinated state.The framework of evaluation index system was constructed basing on a four hierarchical structure.A "single-comprehensive" multilevel evaluation system was also constructed to connect the single core element carrying capacity and comprehensive carrying capacity.(2)A systematic regional resource environment carrying capacity research approach of "multilevel evaluation-spatio-temporal differentiation-driving mechanism-zoning regulation" was proposed.Comprehensive evaluation model was constructed based on improved catastrophe progression model.Spatio-temporal differentiation model was established based on GIS and spatial econometrics method.Driving mechanism analysis and multidimensional gradual space zoning regulation were realized through spatial principal component model and weighted voronoi diagram.(3)The evaluation of resource environment carrying capacity in Henan was taken out following the idea of "single-comprehensive" multilevel evaluation.The evaluation result changed from 0.1877 to 0.5931,showing a "low" state.However,this state had an increasing trend.Furthermore,the coupling coordinated degree of provincial cities was in ascension except Jiyuan.(4)Obvious differentiations showed in the spatial relationship,pattern and trend of resource environment carrying capacity in Henan.Each city had appeared clustering phenomena with high and low value.The location of hot spot area changed from northwest to southeast of Henan.The cold spot area changed from the south to the northwest.The spatial distribution evolved from an invert "U" shape to a "U" shape both in east-west direction and south-north direction.And the level in east and south was higher than the west and north.The difference source of resource environment carrying capacity in Henan converted from between regions to within regions.The variance contribution rate of between regions was decreasing.The R/S analysis demonstrated that there existed some persistent promoting trend of resource environment carrying capacity in Luohe and Xinyang.The resource environment carrying capacity of Jiyuan would be a declined trend.Other cities would have a persistent promoting trend.(5)The driving factors of resource environment carrying capacity in Henan were ecological landscape factor,resource endowment and utilization factor,economy society factor and environment protection factor.The contribution rate of ecological landscape factor was 44.59%.The scores of each driving factors in each provincial city were different.The first and second driving factors were mainly ecological landscape factor and environment protection factor in provincial cities,which had indirectly illustrated that the situation of ecological environment protection in Henan was grim.And chasing economy society development at the cost of ecology and environment would ultimately do harm to resource environment carrying capacity.(6)Zoning research was carried out in Henan basing on weighted voronoi diagram.The scheme was adjusted with administrative division,transportation condition and regional development strategy via GIS.Henan province was finally divided into 5 regions,which are Middle Key Exploitation Region,Northern Ecological Improvement Region,Western Optimizing Exploitation Region,Southern Green Development Region and Eastern Protected Development Region.The regulation and control paths were put forward,which were standing on the advantages and problems of each region.
