Asphalt mixture is composed of different size of mineral,voids and asphalt binder.The design method of existing asphalt mixture is based on the phenomenon and the experience.The formation mechanism of asphalt mixture has not been thoroughly studied and the internal information of asphalt mixture has not been fully excavated,which makes the lack of systematic and theoretical research on mesoscopic asphalt mixture.This paper has made a research on the multi parameter characterization of mesoscopic parameter of asphalt mixture in order to deeply excavate the internal information of the mixture for providing support for the design theory and quality evaluation.According to the actual demand of quality evaluation for core of asphalt pavement's construction site,this paper mainly studies the distribution and void distribution of coarse aggregate that has a main influence on asphalt mixture properties.Firstly,aiming to the lack of current research of coarse aggregate characteristics,this paper has proposed a evaluation method based on corner detection,has put forward the synthesis of centroid moment parameters which is used to evaluate the configuration characteristics of coarse aggregate,and has also made a comparison for the variation law of different types of mixture in different plane.At the same time,in order to study the movement and breaking rules of coarse aggregate in the process of mixture molding,this paper builds the mathematical model based on the experiment of the actually measured input parameters to achieve the detection of image-processing technology and studies the changes of mesoscopic area of coarse aggregate.Finally,this paper makes a research on the relative distribution of coarse aggregate and voids.Through the above research,it is found that the comer detection can be used as a kind of effective evaluation method for coarse aggregate and the arrangement patterns of different types of mixture of coarse aggregate types show a obvious difference,form which gives a suggestion for the die size of traditional indoor asphalt mixture.At the same time,it is found that the movement of coarse aggregate in the process of molding is concentrated in a certain degree of compaction and it puts forward the basis for determining the degree of crushing coarse aggregates.There was significant relationship between coarse aggregate of open gradationopen gradation asphalt mixture and void distribution.This study reveals the characteristics of the composition of asphalt mixture from the mesoscopic level,provides the method of detecting mixture movement and describes the parameters of the mixture molding including the shortest distance of coarse aggregate,synthetic centroid moment,triangular area,and coarse aggregate size,which provides theoretical support for the design and quality evaluation of asphalt mixture.
