Highway traffic man-machine environment system contains people,vehicles,roads and surroundings,all of which is significant and indispensable to the whole.People are the core element,according to the statistics,traffic accidents caused by human account for over 80%,and fatigue of drivers is a main cause.At present,studies on driving fatigue mainly from the driver itself.Some researches have indicated that driving time and road landscape environment,etc,such factors have significant effects on driving fatigue.Therefore,the study on driving fatigue is full of significance to reduce traffic accidents,casualties and property losses.The Inner Mongolia autonomous region has a vast territory,73.26%of it is covered by natural grassland,and the total mileage of highways has been up to 175000 kilometers by the end of 2015,the building and built roads will inevitably cross the grassland areas.The flat landform,and low vegetation coverage and population density determine that prairie highways has characteristics of long straight lines,big curve radius,small longitudinal slope,simple landscape,far sight distance,small traffic flow,etc.All of them result in driving fatigue,which affect driver's judgment decision-making ability.In addition,because of the influence special simple landscape environment of the prairie road,which make the prairie highways different from other landscape environment,no matter in the formation and development of psychological and physical fatigue,or adjustment and deepening process.The prairie road driving fatigue is threatening to traffic safety seriously.From the viewpoint of traffic engineering and man-machine environment engineering,this article focuses on drivers driving on prairie road,analyzed driving fatigue changing characteristics within a complete cycle in both simulated and actual driving test,which has great theoretical and practical significance for riching and consummating driving fatigue theory,revealing the formation and change rule for mental and physical fatigue,monitoring and managing drivers' fatigue,relieving driving fatigue,improving traffic safety in simple landscape environment conditions.In this paper,the specific conclusions are concluded as followings:(1)by discussing the corresponding relationship between simulated driving and actual driving fatigue,a similar law has been found,no matter in the formation or in the development process,the results show that there is a high relation between this two fatigue style at different times.And it takes only 240 min in simulated driving that accurs a full time cycle,from the formation and development of fatigue,to adjustment and deepening process.(2)The factor analysis and correlation analysis are used to determine the driving fatigue sensitive indicator of simple landscape environment,including SDNN,HFnorm,ApEn,proportion of 8 in EEG,?/?,which are mental fatigue sensitive indicators,and blink time,pupil diameter,saccades frequency,average power of waist muscle,which are physical fatigue sensitive indicators.(3)By analyzing the relationship of this two fatigue styles,mental fatigue seems obviously earlier than physical fatigue(15 min).The fatigue indicators response to drivers' adjustment are differently,proportion of 8 in EEG and pupil diameter are not affected.The severe mental fatigue emerges later than physical fatigue(35 min),driver's adjusting are mainly focus on mental fatigue in simple landscape environment,but what they feel deeper is also psychological fatigue in the whole process.(4)The research finding that young drivers have deeper physical fatigue and lower mental fatigue,unskilled driver's have more serious mental and physical fatigue,female drivers have stronger resistance to mental fatigue,and men drivers sre stronger to resist physiological fatigue.(5)Fatigue threshold value at different times are identified by using simple and effective method in simple landscape environment of prairie road:awake at 0-50 min,slight fatigue at 55-115 min,moderate fatigue at 120-170 min,severe fatigue at 175-240 min.(6)Based on 10 hours of actual driving experimental data and qualitative analysis,simulated driving proves to be objective to reflect the whole process of fatigue in simple landscape environment of prairie roads,including the formation,development,adjustment and deepening part.
