Unmanned underwater vehicle(UUV)is a high technological integrated system with typical characteristics of multidiscipline.During the process of its design and optimization,should be considered some factors such as hull form,structure,energy,propulsion,navigation and control,general layout and so on.The traditional spiral design model neglects the coordination and restriction,which greatly reduces the general design efficiency and performance of UUV.Multidisciplinary design optimization(MDO)can take fully account of coupling relationship between the whole and the discipline as well as the intersection of discipline.It organizes and manages the design process with a parallel way,meanwhile solving the contradictions in the design.So the optimal design scheme can be obtained in a shorter time by MDO.In this Thesis,MDO was adopted to research UUV genearal design for a small autonomous underwater vehicle,which can be used to detect underwater topography and physiognomy.The main works was accomplished as follows:(1)Based on the three classical approximation models,Prediction accuracy of the high dimensional model representation based on radial basis function(RBF-HDMR)was studied.The second-order response surface model,Kriging model and radial basis function model were investigated with some mathematical examples which represent different types of engineering problems.The prediction accuracy and practicability of the RBF-HDMR was researched in case of three high-dimensional nonlinear mathematical examples and the reliability design optimization case of pressure shell.(2)Based on subspace design concurrent(CSD)and combined with the uncertainty analysis method and the optimization arithmetic,study of uncertainty multidisciplinary design optimization is accomplished.The uncertainty multidisciplinary design optimization framework of CSD was acquired.The uncertainty optimization ability of CSD was studied in two engineering instances: design of the reducer and integration design of the hull,thruster and energy for UUV.(3)The discipline's parametric modeling and analysis method of UUV were investigated.According to the division of design and engineering practice,system of UUV general design is decomposed into 7 subordinate disciplines.Parametic modeling and analysis method of the disciplines were studied and summarized.And these disciplines were focus of the research,which included the design and analysis method of great depth of pressure cylinder shell,the modeling and analysis method carbon fiber hull structure and the fluid-structure coupling analysis method of carbon fiber propeller.The variable transmission between system level and discipline level is dispelled,also the ways of variable transmission relationships between disciplines of each other,and their coupling relationships were clarified.(4)The overall design performance evaluation method of UUV has been put forward,according to the characteristics of UUV.The functions of UUV and technical performance indicators of disciplines were analyzed.An overall performance evaluation method has been put forward,by using improved fuzzy hierarchical analysis method.The evaluation method was more scientific and objective than before.(5)The deterministic multidisciplinary design optimization of UUV was studied.The three typical disciplines of hull form,pressure shell and propulsion were single disciplinary optimization analysis.Then considerring the coupling relationship between hull form,structure,energy,propulsion,maneuvering and general layout,and combined with the overall design performance evaluation method of UUV,application of the determinate multidisciplinary design optimization was completed in UUV general design with the CSD multidisciplinary design optimization method and three kinds of optimization algorithm.(6)Uncertainty multidisciplinary design optimization study of UUV was progressed on the basis of deterministic multidisciplinary design optimization.Combined with the Monte Carlo Simulation(MCS)the reliability-based multidisciplinary design optimization framework of UUV based on CSD-MCS was established.Then reliability-based multidisciplinary design optimization of UUV general design was accomplished.And also,the reliability-based and robust multidisciplinary design optimization framework of UUV based on CSD-MCS was established.After that,application study of reliability-based and robust multidisciplinary design optimization for UUV general design was completed.According to the results of the determinate multidisciplinary design optimization and uncertainty multidisciplinary design optimization,the general design scheme of the small UUV was accomplished.
