Reivew Of Therapeutic Strategies Of Psoriasis By "Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Support System"

BackgroundPsoriasis is a common chronic inflammatory skin disease with a spectrum of clinical phenotypes and results from the interplay of genetic,infectious,environmental,psychological,traumatic,and immunological factors.The clinical features of psoriasis such as itchness and skin lesion,induce impact on quality of life and psychological problem.On the other hand,being one of the most common skin conditions,psoriasis has received a great deal of attention from clinicians and basic scientists to study the etiopathogenies,immunopathogenies and therapy.We review on recent research study of TCM treatment of psoriasis in approach of investigating the therapeutic strategy of modern named TCM clinicians.The approach of this integrative research aims to find out target therapy and syndrome correlation for further enhancing our knowledge about psoriasis and ultimately improve patients' lives.ObjectiveTo investigate the correlation of syndrome and therapeutic strategy through the literature review on Traditional Chinese(TCM)treatment of psoriasis.Method1.Collect the aticle and journals of treating psoriasis from 1996 to 2016 and access the database by "Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Support System".Examine the information of skin lesions,syndromes,and prescriptive formulation by statistical method.2.Frequency analysis,associative analysis and cluster analysis were applied to explore the effective therapies so as to identify the direction of future study.Result1.From the result of frequency analysis on medication,syndrome and therapeutic strategy,"treat via blood" was found as the most common treatment.And the result of cluster analysis found out that the decoction"'?????(Bubalus bubalis Linnaeus,Rehmannia glutinosa Libosch.,Paeonia lactifora Pall.and Paeonia suffruticosa)was the basic formula of treating psoriasis.Under the basic formula,"heat and toxic clearing"medicinal such as Smilax glabara Roxb.?Oldenlandia diffusa Roxb.were added to eliminate the "heat" directly.The pharmalogical research stated that those herbs had anti-tumor function.Lithospermum erythrorhizon Sieb.was prescriped to increase the function of "cooling blood".The heat inside the body would induce loss of "Qi" and "Blood".Therefore,tonic herbs including Angelica sinensis Diels.and Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fischwere needed to compensate the loss.These types of medicinal were cooperated to treat psoriasis.2."Heat-clearing" and "stasis-eliminating" medicinal were the most representative herbs for the psoriasis medication,while "blood heat syndrome","blood stasis syndrome","fire toxicity syndrome","damp heat syndrome" and "blood deficiency and wind dry syndrome" were the most frequent syndrome of psoriasis.3.17 of core herbal combination were found by correlation analysis.13 of new prescriptive formulation were found by cluster analysis.4.Classic decoction such as "?????","?????","?????" and "????" for associated syndrome were found by cluster analysis.5."Damp","heat","toxicity" and "stasis" were found as the pathogensis of psoriasis in Southern part of China.Conclusion1.The study summarized the decoction formula for associated syndrome which were identical or similar to TCM dermatological guide book.2.It was found that "liver and kidney deficiency syndrome","syndrome of stagination of Qi","spleen' s Qi deficiency syndrome","Yang deficiency syndrome" were included in the syndrome classification of psoriasis.3.The explored decoction formula indicated that "phlegm" was one of the etiological causes of psoriasis.4.The study findings may serve as a guide for further research of etiology and prescriptive formulation of psoriasis.
