The Ever-changing Game - The Participatory Study Of Contemporary Installation Art

In the field of modern art and post-modern art,installation art is an important part of it,and also it has a transformation from assemblage to now which combined with space,environment and new media technology.From the 60th and 70th in last century,the participation has been a new trend of installation art.The viewers join into the art works,not only change the form of it,but also endow the new conception.In this essay,the participation in modern installation art as the motif,the four elements of inquiry:First,according to the review of history of participation in installation art,discussed on the basis of "participation" in the definition of the concept and its relations with the "interaction".Second,through the study of the art works as example,summed up the several ways of participation,and analyze the differences in the level of participation and the relationship between the viewers and works.Third,based on the discussion on the forms,analyze the new trend in the conception and relationship by the behavior of participation.And discuss on the reasons why people enjoy participating into the installation art works according to the analysis of reading habits and ways of people In modern society.Also discuss on the standard of this way of creation.Finally,be examined under the philosophical and aesthetic theory of the "game" into the context of contemporary art.And present the "Game Theory" in contemporary art based on the compare research between "game" and participation.
