A Study On Public Documents In The Weijin Dynasty

This paper is divided into seven chapters to study official documents of Wei&Jin Dynasties.Introduction:To introduce the research value,review history,specify the scope,methods and difficulties.Besides,It is also involved with an analysis of public documents and its relationship with the epistolary proses,letters and files.Apart from the introduction to the research value,the history review and emphasis on the scope,methods and difficulty of the research.Chapter 1 is highlighted with a historical perspective of the evolution and upgrade of the official documents,which is specifically available in three phases of Pre-Qin Era,Qin-Han Dynasties and Wei-Jin Dynasties.The origin of writing style,the establishment of standard and style established,and the change of the categories and formulas are included as well.Chapter 2 follows the principle of typical analysis and classification in accordance with its kinds.It mainly analyzes the function of the literary forms of ZhaoCe including Zhao,Gao,Ce and Zhi,JiaoCh including Jiao,Ling,Chi and Jie,as well as ZhangZou including Zhang,Biao,Zou and Yi etc.Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 are written for a textual study of the official document writing in Wei and Jin Dynasties.Chapter 3 gives a systematical study to six kinds of official documents,that is,the Talents Hunting and Recommendation and Retirement Supplication to mirror the succession and extension of the traditional themes,the Warfare and Chaos and the Demise of the Regime to demonstrate the accumulation and change of the topics in an epoch,the Belief and Spread of Buddhism and The Voices of Love and Politics to show the beginning and the expansion of specific themes.Chapter 4 expounds the change of the letter writings during that stage,and clarifies the reasons and characteristics.During the dynasties of Wei and West Jin,the official document writing was featured of the magnificence,delicacy and sumptuousness,by contrast,the writing style of Wu,Shu and East Jin Dynasties was relatively simple and plain.What’s more,it is also inclusive of the comparison of the official documents between Wei and Wu States.Chapter 5 on the research basis of the above-mentioned literary forms,themes and writing style focuses on the further explanation and understanding of the cultural connotation of the official documents in Wei and Jin Dynasties.The cultural function is exemplified in the articles of Chen Lin,Zhong Hui,Lu Xun,Xue Zong and Zhuge Liang in the aspects of the writing tactics for invigoration and summons,the strategic core for decision and leadership,and the significance of cultivation and education for the combat readiness.Chapter 6 explores the subtle relationship between the Wei-Jin official document writing and the brilliance of the writers.In the specific historical context,a contrastive analysis is given to discuss the talent formation,expression,similarity and difference of Three Grand Scholars of Wei State,The Talented Scholars during the Jian ’an Period and The Noted Officials of Jin Period,as well as their potential influence to the writing style of the official documents.Chapter 7 gives an evaluation and conclusion to the evolution and related values of the official-document literature of Wei and Jin Dynasties.The factors impacting the evolution of the official document writing is explored,as well as the expression styles are analyzed on the basis of a study to sentence patterns,rhythms and figures of speech.Meanwhile,in terms of the literary theories and current reviews,an objective comment is given to the source and course and literary feature of the official documents in Wei-Jin Dynasties.Also,through a study extension to the reference books and anthology of Tang Dynasty to deepen the understanding of the compiling characteristics and the cultural&historical value of the Wei-Jin official documents.
