This paper will discuss about three important musical composition of three representative composers of Sound Music in the late twentieth Century, and focus on their thematic compositions and statements, development methods and characteristics.First part mainly talks about the Sound Theme statement and development of "Fasce" composed by Friedrich Cerha:bind audio lines into components, discrete, juxtapose, and then combine into several components.Second part studies the Sound Theme statement and development of Lachenmann's "Air":the development of three kinds of texture through sound source, percussion medium and playing method.Third part studies Sound Theme statement and development of Iannis Xenakis's "Lichens":sound particles compose the theme, and texture modeling develops from pitch, duration, and timbre.Fourth part would compare Sound Theme forms, statements, development methods and characteristics between the three musical compositions, and summarize the similarities and differences of the creative thinking between the three composers.Research shows:1)The theme composition of three works:the sound line of "Fasce";the different vibrational states of "Air";the acoustic particles of "Lichens".2)The characteristics of three themes' statements and developments:cerha uses binding audio line into components to feature the whole music composition;Lachenmann uses sound source, medium and playing method to create different vibration states of sound and to structure the whole composition;Xenakis composes sound particles into "sound sculptures" and then uses texture segmentation to structure "Lichens".3)The similarities and differences between theme statements of three compositions:"Fasce"shows the constant changes of single texture;"Air" shows the development and combination of three different textures;"Lichens"'s variant process embodies structural thinking such as subsection variation and convolution reappearance.
