The Research Of Urban Information Visualization Design

After the human society entered the twenty-first century,with the development of mobile internet and information technology,many countries and regions began to promote the construction of smart city,a lot of data related about the fields of city public life are collected and stored by all kinds of sensors and smart devices.At the same time,open data movement has risen around the global.This movement against monopoly and closed data,emphasize the nature of data which is opened,connected and shared.Open data movement also advocating government,enterprises and other organizations open and share the resources of data,breaking the closed "big data islands",connecting and sharing data freely,motiving tremendous value of the data behind it.To the city,these open public data become an important way for public understanding,participating and changing urban public life,data visualization design has became an important bridge between the massive public information and massive information understanding.This study started from analyzing the types of features and mechanism of the functions behind smart city and open data movement which are two of the important phenomenon of the information age.It also illustrated the necessity,feasibility and complexity of this study in the background of the information society.Secondly,this study discuss several key issues related to design model and principles of visualization design which under the guidance of the spiritual content of the open data movement and practice and also according to information gathering and processing framework of the smart city,combined with the internet as the driving force of the internal groups to share,produce,collaborative model.Attending to propose some guide lines of city information visualization design to data-centric smart city information architecture,addressing the growing scale of big data which conflict with the public's understanding of the information,improving and adding contents of information visualization system under information society background.This paper also discussing about the relationship between visual design and urban life,visual design and collective wisdom,visual design and collaboration among the public.Through the research of this article advising the designer to improve urban life through visual design and addressing public issues by using the theory and practical guidance inside this study and finally making the city a better life.
