The Study Of Appellation Terms In Cai Youmei's Series Novel Of "Fresh Taste"

With Cai Youmei's series novel of “Fresh Taste” as the linguistic version,took the appellation words which appear in the novel as the object of study,adopted the comprehensive research methods such as the combination of quantitative statistics and qualitative analysis,the combination of synchronic static description and diachronic dynamic comparison,and the combination of traditional scholarship methods of primary school and modern linguistics,especially sociolinguistics,this paper carried detailed statistical analysis and deep explanation on the relatives appellation and social appellation words in the novel.On this basis,we find that these appellations have important linguistic value which is of great value to Chinese dictionaries and Beijing dialect dictionaries,and it also has great reference value to the study of modern Chinese vocabulary,especially Beijing discourse words.The paper also analyzed the influence and promotion of social development on the change of appellation words in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China.The whole paper could be divided into six chapters:The Chapter One is the introduction.The topic selected reasons,research background,research objects,research methods and research value and other related content will be expounded in this chapter.The Chapter Three is the study of relatives appellation terms in Cai Youmei's series novel of “Fresh Taste”.According to the general classification method,this chapter divided the relatives appellations terms into two categories: blood relation and marriage relation.Among them,the blood relation can be divided into two categories: paternal and maternal,while the marriage relation can be divided into two categories: husband and wife relations.In the analysis of each small category,in accordance with the order from old to young,from the inside to the outside,the paper will list all the relatives appellations terms in the novel,citing documentary evidence,and then analysis.In the novel it also appeared some collectively names and general names,we will also carry brief analysis on them.On the basis of the previous analysis,we summarize and analyze the features of the relatives appellation terms in the novel.The Chapter Four is the study of social appellation terms in Cai Youmei's series novel of “Fresh Taste”.Combined the present classification methods of social appellation words and the frequency and characteristics of social appellation words in the novel,in this chapter,we divide the social appellation terms which in the novel into four categories,trade title,identity appellation,relation appellation and characteristic appellation,and there are also some appellation words that cannot be classified into the above four categories.We put them in the appendix.These four types of social appellation words can be divided into different categories according to their own characteristics.Because the number of social appellations is big,in the aspect of documentary evidence,we take a brief principle,give only representative or difficult to understand the semantic explains and analysis,to facilitate the readers to understand.On the basis of the previous analysis,we summarize and analyze the features of the social appellation terms in the novel.The Chapter Five is the study on the subscription of Chinese words dictionary by appellation terms in Cai Youmei's series novel of “Fresh Taste”.Based on the analysis of the second and third chapters,in this chapter,refers with the “Chinese Appellation Dictionary” and “Beijing Appellation Words Dictionary”,we found that the novel appellation terms could add entries,correct interpretation,supplement the role of documentary evidence of their early additions,and we also give the detailed introduction.The Chapter Six is the study of appellation terms in Cai Youmei's series novel of “Fresh Taste” on the background of sociolinguistics.In this chapter,we introduce the appellation words in the novel into the historical background of the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China,the influence of politics,economy and culture on the emergence,development and change of appellation words at that time was studied.The Chapter Seven is the conclusion.On the basis of the full summary of the previous chapters,this chapter points out the innovations and shortcomings of the research,and also gives the anticipation of the next research direction.
