It has been nearly 100 years of exploration and development history since watercolour art entered the northeast in the 1920 s.It has formed a unique performance technique,creative concept and aesthetic characteristics with the characteristics of the northeast region.We comprehensively combed and understood the development of watercolor paintings and art forms in Northeast of China,including not only a protective and developmental study of local art forms,but also a study of the localization and currentization of Western art.The initial aim is to influence the further benign development of Northeast watercolor painting.As to a research on an art form,especially a foreign art form,firstly,it is necessary to carry out the questioning of genetics,to explore the basic historical trajectory of its occurrence,development and spread in order to form a historical and overall artistic understanding.Watercolour painting was introduced to China as early as 1715.But it quickly spread and developed until the early 19 th century,and were able to enter the Northeast in the historical context.The watercolor paintings entered the northeast and were closely linked with the Fengtian Fine Art School founded by Han Leran,which the watercolor paintings in the northeast spread through.Therefore,we can see that the dissemination and development of watercolor paintings in Northeast China is inextricably linked with school education.On one hand,a large number of watercolor artists and teachers were trained through school education.On the other hand,school education made watercolor arts popular and made more people get to know and understand them.Therefore,we can say Fengtian Art College constitutes the basic source of watercolor in Northeast China.At the same time,the pioneers,instructors,and curriculum and teaching concepts of the Fengtian Fine Arts School are inextricably linked with the Shanghai Fine Arts School.The inheritance relationship between the two also made the watercolor paintings in the Northeast rich in the characteristics of the Shanghai school.In the process of continuous exploration and development,gradually emerged performance techniques and creative ideas in terms of the historical origins and inheritance and development relations of the watercolor paintings in Northeast constituted the historical flow of watercolor paintings in Northeast of China.As an independent form of art,“Northeast Watercolour” needs to be not only historical but also unique.Due to the indirect inheritance relationship of the Northeast watercolor paintings,the watercolor painting originally introduced to the Northeast was no longer authentic Western watercolor painting,but with Shanghai style painting.At the same time,it has gradually formed heterogenous artistic features in the process of continuous collision and melting with the black oil culture and art.The most distinctive feature was its regional characteristics.It was featured regionally in not only the performance object and the subject matter,but also historical and cultural development and the art processing method.It can be said that the development of watercolor paintings in the Northeast has achieved a combination of art and locality,and has completed the innovation and construction of art in the past century.The northeast watercolor painting changed dramaticly in the new century.Those changes were related to the development and changes in the northeast area,the aesthetic transformation of the cultural patterns in the northeastern region.It's result of an intrinsic link between art and local politics,economy and culture.In particular,the historical background of globalization since the new century has put forward new requirements for Chinese watercolor painting.It's inevitable to go along with trend of globlilization.Under such circumstances,the creation of watercolor painting in the Northeast has drawn more and more attention to the world,tried to create watercolor painting in the world and and push it into the world.Based on this artistic pursuit,the watercolor trend of the Northeast in the artistic themes such as painting subjects,art images and artistic language became increasingly clear and famous in the world.Of course,the globalization of art needs locality,presentness,and nationality.Therefore,the watercolor painting in the Northeast showed strong local characteristics and contemporary changes in Northeast China in the concepts of “close distance” and “time” and.Of course,the development of any art inevitably involves the issues of "regularity" and "change." Innovation and development are the vitality of art development,but any artistic change is a change in "regular".The aesthetic transformation of the Northeast watercolor painting is an unavoidable fact,especially it changed more and more obviously with the technological advancement and the renewal of the artistic concept in the the new century.The final result of the changes in watercolor painting in Northeast of China is manifested in the development direction of diversification,which has formed a further prosperity of watercolor painting in Northeast of China.
