Research On Marxian Peace Ideology And Its Contemporary Value

To achieve world peace is a long-cherished wish of human for thousands of years, and it is also the ideal insisted and perused by Marx. Throughout the fascinating history of human, we can notice clearly that since the emergence of private ownership, and the society has come into the stage of bourgeois society, the conflict and war never end during the development of human society. Although many naive thinkers, enlightenment thinkers of modern bourgeoisie and utopian socialists in China and western countries have been exploring how to achieve world peace continuously, due to the limit of theory, it is difficult to provide scientific guidance for achieving world peace in real sense. Since the born of Marxian peace ideology, the world view and methodology guidance have been issued in order to understand the world peace and explore the path of it scientifically. Therefore, studying and explaining Marxian peace ideology has not only contributed to the theoretical value of broadening the vision of research oh Marxism and enriching its system, but also to the practical significance of achieving perpetual world peace and common development. Facing with various opportunities and challenges, only following the guidance of Marxian peace ideology, can we march further on the great course of attaining the world peace.The general framework of the paper includes five aspects of Marxian peace ideology:the time background and theatrical origin, the main content, the exploration and research of finding the path of peace, the inheritance and development, and the contemporary value.The first section discusses the background and theoretical origin of Marxian peace ideology. From the 18?19 century, technology advance and industry revolution development both improves productivity objectively and intensifies the complicated contradictions in human society. Tempted by benefit, the bourgeoisie exploits and suppresses the proletariat all over the world, and wars for hegemony have been aroused unrelentingly, which severely hinders the peaceful development of the world. Based on the profoundly analysis of the former peace ideology of human, Marx studied the law of development, found the Materialist Conception of History and the theory of surplus value, and reached his own peace ideology, which is preeminent above all the related ones.The second section deals with the main content of Marxian peace ideology. First, Marx revealed and criticized the hypocrisy of peace view of bourgeoisie incisively. In the condition of bourgeoisie, the contradiction between big powers and the war triggered by it will all destroy the world peace. The western powers force weak nations to yield to their violence, it is not peace. Class antagonism still exists in the society of bourgeoisie, it is just a new pattern of class and class struggle. Second, peace is an important policy to realize liberation of proletariat. The inexorable demand of proletariat revolution is fighting for peace. If it is possible, the proletariat will carry out revolution through a peaceful way. Third, peace relationship should be established among countries on the account of moral. The simple and unadorned private relationship of moral should rise to a new level, which is a norm between countries. Only in this way, the perpetual peace among countries will come true on the basis of moral. Finally, the ultimate goal of peace is the free and all-around development of people. Private ownership is the root of all conflict and war. Only when productivity has been vigorously developed and the private ownership and the class derived from it have been utterly destroyed, can achieve free and all-around development of each person and world peace.The third section explores the path of realizing world peace by Marx. Marx studied the generation, development and trend that doomed to perish of capitalist mode of production, exposed law of human society development and finally concluded scientific understanding of peace path. In order to achieve perpetual world peace in real sense ultimately, Marx proposed several ways, such as establishing generally recognized principles of international relationship, concluding treaties to maintain world peace, setting up international relationship system to preserve the world order, applying the combination of violence revolution and peaceful struggle flexibly, uniting all the proletariat around the world, and achieving and maintaining world peace by dictatorship of the proletariat.The fourth section talks about the inheritance and development of Marxian peace ideology thoroughly and objectively in two basic points:first is how to apply the Marxian ideology and the method to study peace issues into practical use, second is the inheritance and development of Marxian peace ideology of later generations is changing and developing with times and society. The section focusing on discussing the inheritance and development of Marxian peace ideology by Lenin, the application of Marxian peace ideology in China, and the propagation and development of Marxian peace ideology all over the world.The fifth section states the contemporary value of Marxian peace ideology. Although the era full of war and revolution has already changed to that of peace and development, the essence of the world remains the same. Marxian peace ideology is still the important theoretical and practical guidance to protect world peace for both China and other countries, in a situation that the world peace development is facing with historical opportunity and complex challenges of the era.
