Research On Dilemma Of Capitalism In The Capital-information Age

After several hundred years of development,the changes happened on capitalism can be described as earth-shaking.Based on the perspective of Marxism,the article comprehensively study the contemporary capitalism—capitalism under the capital-information age,focusing on the plight of its economic and political aspects,which derive useful insights.Marxism believes that capital is not a thing but a social relation of production.Capital is at the core of capitalist society.It created enormous material wealth,which greatly promoted the progress of human society,but also brought a series of contradictions and problems.We briefly summarize capital times as follows: in order to purse profit and wealth accumulation,capital exists in many forms and then dominates the era of political,economic and social development of a country.Capitalization and market-oriented are commonly used to saying the course of accelerating economic and social development that leaded by capital.On the other hand,since the late 20 th century,with the development of technology and network of electronic information technology,human production and life entered a new era.Driven by science and technology,capital operation mode and existing form have undergone major changes.The transmission of data and information have also changed the organization of social movements.The general public have acquired certain rights through the network.We could call contemporary capitalism as information age capitalism.The rage of the "new economy" is summed up as western capitalist economic development characteristics under the information age.From productivity point of view,the information age is the rapid development of information technology,have a profound impact on the economic and social era.In the information age,capital use information technology to make their own existence more diverse and flow more frequently.While the degree of detachment between real economy and the virtual economy are more greater.The speculative of capital are more.But the information age is still era leading by capital.The rapid development of information technology is the result of capital-seeking.Highly developed information technology has also accelerated the accumulation of capital,improves the competitiveness of capital.Information age must be interconnected with the capital times,and together constitute the capital-information age.We briefly summary capital-information age: the capital exists as various forms using information technology(mainly financial capital as the core of the virtual capital),flows more frequently at home and abroad,causes greater impact on the world's politics,economy and society and then leads all.In the capital-information age,contemporary capitalism is facing many difficulties.While capital have greater impact on the world,national sovereignty of States has been weakened to some extent.This paper is divided into six chapters.Chapter One: Introduction.The chapter introduces research background,explains the purpose and significance of research,overviews briefly scholars' research on aspects of contemporary capitalism crisis,outlines main contents and research methods,lists possible innovation points and deficiencies at the end of the chapter.Chapter Two: Capital-Information Age and Its Implication.In order to accurately define the scope of the study,the chapter describes the meaning of capital times,information age,and capital-information age.The chapter also reviews the establishment and development of history of capitalist economic and political system under the capital-information age.Chapter Three: Difficulties of Capitalism as a Whole.Based on Marxist perspective,we elaborate the predicament of capitalism as a whole.On the economic front,clarify the economic crisis problem(including the possibility of the crisis,the real reality and the substance);on the political front,clarify the function of three pillars of capitalist political system(political party system,electoral system,parliamentary system)and the existing problems.This chapter also briefly summarize the unique interpretation of capitalist development phase by the Social Structure of Accumulation Theory appeared in the 1980 s.Chapter Four: Economic Difficulties of Capitalism Contemporary Dilemma.We elaborate the plight of contemporary capitalism,particularly in the economic area from those aspects: the economic crisis(cyclical crisis,structural crisis),financial technology and financial crisis,rigid pressures of social welfare spending,income distribution gap,the imbalance of wealth possession,the contradiction between center-periphery countries,world development imbalance.Capitalism is a special mode of production,namely,in order to pursue value and wealth.Capitalist production is not for consumption but to get value.In the Capital-information age,profit-driven nature of capital is to play to the maximum,which is bound to generate economic crisis,widening income distribution,increasing resources and energy consumption,crowding labor and other negative issues.Capitalist countries establish welfare system to ease labor conflicts,on the other hand,actively open up markets;transfer the domestic industry;control international finance,technology and overseas markets.But these also bring the pressures of rigid spending,deficit,domestic industrial hollowing out,center-periphery conflict between countries,the world's uneven development and other issues.Chapter Five: Political Difficulties of Capitalism Contemporary Dilemma.We elaborate the plight of contemporary capitalism,particularly in the Political area from those aspects: the parliamentary system(functions,status,role and problems),the electoral system(evolution,part of public elections and the conflict between capital controls),political parties and political party system(generation,functional evolution,political parties and public interest).Politics is for economics.After the victory over the theocratic capital,the bourgeoisie became the ruling class.The bourgeoisie on the one hand establish the three pillars of the political system(parliamentary,elections,political parties),on the other hand,lead the right to the invention of concepts and notations,speak controlling.Under the capital-information age,capital change the image by controlling the mass media,increase the intensity of technical management by the community.Capital also use those means to divert people's attention on politics and dissatisfaction,reduce people's ability to obtain rights through network technology: foundations,elite education,changing agent,free partisan competition,the financial oligarchy backstage,etc,.However,money politics,the conflict between the public election and capital controls,the conflict between the political parties and the public interest are not only not fundamentally changed,but there are increasing trend.Chapter Six: Conclusions and Implications.Capitalism has so many difficulties under capital-information age show that history does not end in the capitalist system.Capitalist society is definitely not the highest achievement of human and social development.In the economic globalization,on the one hand,China should be assertive,improve the socialist market economic system,effectively solve the problems of income distribution,transform the economic development mode,increase economic autonomy;improve the socialist politics with Chinese characteristics,adhere to the leadership of the Communist Party of China and the People's democratic dictatorship,strengthen the authority of the Party and the country in the political system reform,oppose liberalization and anarchism.On the other hand,While integrate into the global economy,develop our own using external market,enhance the country's core competitiveness,China should also improve the awareness and ability of defending national interests and safety,prevent foreign capitalist countries passing the crisis to our country.
