Research On Party Identification Of Contemporary College Students

Party identification is the public's sense of belonging and loyalty to the ruling party.Gaining public identification is the basic prerequisite for any ruling party to maintain its ruling position and effectively carry out the ruling idea.In the modern state with party politics as the core,it is an important topic for the ruling party to strengthen the popular identification of the ruling party in the people,especially the youth.Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China(CPC),the CPC Central Committee has attached great importance to the ideological and political education of college students,emphasizing the need to spread Marxism and laying the ideological foundation for the healthy growth of college students.Under the background of the continuous strengthening of ideological and political education in universities,whether the political party identification of contemporary college students have been improved significantly and what is the promotion mechanism have become important subjects worthy of attention in the field of ideological and political education.Based on the theory of communicative practice in Marxist theory,this study constructs theoretical model of the promotion mechanism of party identification on the basis of comprehensive overview about the evolution of college students' party identification since the establishment of new China.The study describes present situation and characteristics of party identification about college students in the framework of the model,analyzes the influence factors,and finally puts forward the cultivation strategy of college students' party identification in the new period.Part One is literature reviewing and topics establishing.It is the first chapter of this dissertation.By summarizing the existing research results at home and abroad,this study sums up the meaning,the structure,the influence factors of party identification,the measurement,influencing factors and cultivation path of college student party identification.The results show that most of domestic scholars on party identification followed the Western party identification theory,or worked on the expansion and deepening of the western theory.However the systematic study of Marxist partyidentification,and promotion mechanism of party identification in China's political situation are still relatively lacking.Based on the idea of Marxist party identification,this study explores the promotion mechanism of contemporary Chinese college students' party identification from the perspective of ideological and political education.Part Two is theory mining and history combing.It is the second and third chapter of this paper.First,this study defines the concept of college students' party identification.This dissertation defines college students' party identification as "college students obtain political socialization,exert their subjective initiative,forming the awareness and evaluation of CPC's historical merit,ideology,executive performance,party organization,and then generate belonging and loyalty to the ruling party".Secondly,the theoretical basis of college students' party identification is approached.Marxist Thought of ideology identification,party organization identification,ruling performance identification is the theoretical basis of this study.The theory of communicative practice in Marxist theory is the theoretical foundation of this study.Political socialization theory,"psychological schema" theory,and social interlocking theory provide an important theoretical reference for this study.Thirdly,this study combs the evolution of college students' party identification.Through combing the evolution of party identification of college students since the founding of New China,the following historical revelations are made: innovating ideology with the inclusiveness of ideology,meeting the interests of the demands with the salvation of political performance,and purifying the political ecology with the severity of anti-corruption.Part three is the construction of promotion mechanism of college students' party identification.It is the fourth chapter of this dissertation.First,the construction of theoretical model is formulated.Based on the theory of communicative practice,this study assumes that college students' party identification is a way for college students to deepen political gain and enhance political trust through learning in the process of accepting ideological and political education.Based on this,the dissertation constructs the structural model of promotion mechanism of party identification of college students from the perspective of ideological and political education.Secondly,the definition and operation of each variable in the model are established.The variables in the model(network media opinion,campus culture,classroom teaching,social practice,model demonstration),intermediary variables(political acquisition,political trust),the dependent variable(college student party identification)are defined and operated.Third,factors analysis and validity test of the questionnaire are conducted.Through factor analysis this study establishes the formal questionnaire,"college student party identification and its influencing factors questionnaire",whose reliability is better.Fourth,the validation of the structural model is tested.Amos21.0 is used to validate the model,and the structural model of promotion mechanism of college party's party identification is established.Part Four is the model description(the analysis of the situation and its influencing factors of college students' party identification).It is chapter 5 and 6 of this dissertation.Since the 18 th CPC National Congress,in the context of strengthening the ideological and political education work from the Party Central Committee,the overall level of college students' party identification is high.Historical merit identification(M= 4.40)and ideological identification(M = 3.79)are at a high level.In terms of executive performance,college students are more adept at macro performance,while ecological construction and income,employment and people's livelihood microcosm should be paid more attention to.In terms of organizational identification,college students have very high identification on the Party Central Committee with Xi Jinping as the core,however,the grassroots party organizations have more expectations.The influencing factors of ideological and political education are network media opinion,campus culture,classroom teaching,practice teaching,and model demonstration.The individual factors are political acquisition and political trust.The results show that media opinion,campus culture and classroom teaching can significantly affect party identification of college students.At the same time,political trust plays a mediating role in the influence of ideological and political education on party identification.And political acquisition plays an intermediary role in the influence of classroom teaching and model demonstration on party identification.College students' party identification is the process of continuous construction and plastic in the acceptance of ideological and political education.Part Five is the model application(the cultivation strategy of college students' party identification).It is chapter 7 of this dissertation.It is found that college students' party identification is gradually improved in the practice of political socialization,through equal interaction with the ideological and political educators.Therefore,we not only should pay attention to the role of ideological and political education in universities,but also the individual factors of college students,strengthening their cognitive and trust on the party.Therefore,the cultivation should adhere to the combination of political and scientific nature,and the combination of advanced nature and extensive,to solve the ideological and practical problems with the combination of theoretical education and social practice,from the innovative classroom teaching,nurturing the campus Culture.We should pay attention to social practice,improve the role of example education to strengthen college students' awareness and trust on the party,from the historical achievements to enhance identification,ideological identification,ruling performance identification,party organization and other aspects of political party identification,and then effectively enhance the level of political party identification of college students.
