In modern Western society, especially, in the field of material production, the logic of capital occupies the core position.“Logic”means“Certainty”.“Logic of capital” demonstrates such a “certainty”which is inherently led by capital:marking the maximum profits as the center, capitals go anywhere where there are profits, they exist in the certain form if that shape could bring about any profit, and also they will set out whenever profits arise;Obviously.the pursuit of profit maximization, seems to be a tenacious logic of capital and even the capitalist society, an overwhelming objective force as well as a sacred dominant power. From the macro perspective, it alters the world strongly and rapidly in the manner of“what it is”and affects everything that exists on earth so that the various “scene”of modernization can be generated and presented,finally,diffused globally.From the micro-level, the logic of capital has not only changed nature-the physical world, but also sneaked into humans brain and embedded there deeply, altering ones consciousness the world of values. Especially in the world of values of human, the logic of capital is just right a sculptor with superb talent,lists the cultural heritage of the Renaissance, the Reformation and the Enlightenment as the best cheap raw materials, regards its vigorous mode of production derived from itself as a sharp chisel and deems profit of maximization as a guided principle and supreme will, which had been embedded into the four sphere of social production, distribution, exchange and consumption ghostly, then subtly and gradually, shaped the overall appearance and intrinsic soul of the modern Western core values.After the formation of the modern Western value system, in turn.it has been attached upon the global expansion of the historical process of the capital to strengthen their bodies and domain,and wielded all its secular characters to diffuse to the various regions and fields around the world, as a result of assimilating or weakening the inherent value of the national state system. In this way, it achieves its egoism as well as gives a hand to the capital:it hoist the signboard of“universal values”to remove the ideological obstacles for the wanton expansion of the capital and movement logic of the capital.In the process of formation and development of modern Western value system, although it always reflects the“subjective force”of the logic of capital, the process that logic of capital shapes the social core value system is not at random and has certain clues as well. Instead, it has complied with the given skills and methods aiong with certain rational approach to march forward. It is those methods and rational approaches that constitute the law of generation of modern Western core value system. Although the law has the attributes of capital and characteristics of the age. it also inherently contains the general mechanism of the generation of the core value system of the society.Getting rid of its ideological hue covered on it, it can still provide a reference for the construction of the social core value system of contemporary China.Furthermore, the relative mature law of the formation of modern Western value system, is bound to offer an "anatomical key" for the construction of the core value system of Chinese society which is still in the exploratory stage.In specific perspectives, the process of the formation of the modern Western value system enlightens us that:Firstly, it is significant to master the material production dominance for building a core value system of the society.Therefore, if we want to further condense and nurture the core values of our society, not only the need of "textual archeology" is necessary, but also we must achieve two points at least as follow:(1) The dominant position of the public economy should continue to be consolidated and strengthened, grasping the initiative in the material production firmly;(2)we must penetrate into the field of concrete material production from which we can gain the most direct,emotive and abundant present world, to extract concise form of the core value of our society in abstraction and strengthen the common identity of the core values. Secondly, the formation of the social core value system is a mutual process between political parties and people. Thus, in order to further enhance the effectiveness of nurturing the core values of the society, we must pay more attention to the essential value of popular culture and vigorously highlight the subject of the public in the construction of values under the strong leadership of the ruling party. Thirdly, the logic of capital has the impulse of "unlimited loot". Hence, we ought to dig up the national cultural resources deeply to generate institutional norms and moral constraints over the impulse based on the overall institutional framework of the "socialist market economy".
