Citizen science is one kind of activity of scientists inviting the public to participate in scientific research.By teaching the public with scientific knowledge and appropriate scientific research methods, the public can work together with scientific researchers to collect scientific data for analysis and to solve scientific problems.Meanwhile, comparing the traditional science communication method, the public scientific literacy can be enhanced effectively through citizen science.Citizen science has been practiced in many areas such as Europe and the United States for many years. In Asia,Japan,Taiwan,Hong Kong and other regions, citizen science are also very active. For example,Climate change, alien species surveillance, animal and plant conservation, water body monitoring and other aspects of ecological environment protection research have "citizen scientists" to participate in.With the development and popularization of information technology, the use of the concept of gamification to carry out citizen science has become popular in this field.Based on the gamification application, monotonous scientific research data will be visualized, and the boring and serious research data collection and analysis will be entertained. With gamificaiton, scientific interest is enhanced, the participation threshold is lowered, and the user's stickiness and scale are increased. As a result,long-term data collection and sharing of group wisdom can be realized through cross-regional online communication and interaction. The achievement of the function of citizen science gamification depends on the user's continuous participation behavior. For ensuring this behavior, that intention of sustained use is the premise. At present, the exploration of citizen science gamification is at an early stage, and there is no systematic research on the continuous usage intention of users in gamification of citizen science.Based on the domestic and foreign literature review, this paper first analyzes the influential factors related to the intention of continuous use of users through the method of grounded theory.According to research summary of user's continuous usage intention of game and gamification, and the related research of citizen science and citizen science gamification with users behaviors, the factors related to the continuous usage intention of citizen science gamification are classified as individual factors, information systems, community factors, and social factors. The research is based on the ideas that individual factors influenced by external environment variables such as information system, community factors and social factors, and then individual factors affect the user satisfaction and ultimately affect the intention of continuous use.Secondly, for simplifying the research context and deepening the research focus, the research model of the user's continuous usage intention of citizen science gamification is more succinctly and systematically shows the influential factors and their relations.According to the actual characteristics of citizen science gamification, considering the research emphases, this paper conceptualizes the variables from different theoretical perspectives.Based on expectation confirmation model and customer satisfaction model, from the perspectives of entertainment, learning and scientific research, the research model uses perceived usefulness, immersive experience and altruism motivation as mediated variables. For external variables, considering the fact that users may be influenced by the quality of technical systems of gamification, the information communication within users' communities and the social environment during the practical use of citizen science gamification, the research model chose gamification design, gamification mechanism, service application, community information quality, community structure capital, social image and regional scientific cultural environment as the influencing factors, and put forward relevant hypotheses. After that, this research uses EyeWire,a well-known citizen science gamification application,as a research tool,338 questionnaires are collected through questionnaires sent to the user communities in the app community,as well as test group which is made by international students and domestic students above graduate level.Thirdly, through SPSS 17.0 and AMOS 17.0,the reliability and validity of the sample and the relationship hypothesis of variables are teste, and the result found that the continuous usage intention of users of citizen science gamification is significantly and directly influenced by the three factors of satisfaction, immersion experience and perceived usefulness.Gamification mechanism is useful for immersive experience, service quality and social image have a direct impact on perceived usefulness.,and social image and regional scientific cultural environment have a direct impact on user's altruistic motivation. While the findings confirm that there is no positive influence of the altruistic motivation on continuous usage intention of users, and no positive impact of gamificaiton design on immersive experience, and gamification design, gamification mechanism, community information quality, community structure capital and the regional science cultural environment have no positive influence on perceived usefulness. Finally, based on the above conclusions, this paper provides several suggestions for optimizing design and operation of citizen science gamification.
