By studying the expression mechanism of geographic information and the related concepts of hypermedia,we try to integrate the traditional media,the mobile media and the digital media,and apply it to the process of geographic information expression,so as to realize the complementary advantages and resource sharing of various media in the expression of geographic information.In summary,the main contents of this paper include the following six aspects:1.The development history and research status of hypermedia related theories and technologies in the field of geographic information science are summarized in this paper.Scholars in the field of Geographic Information Science at home and abroad have done a lot of research and exploration on the application of Hypermedia in the field of geographic information science,we summarize and analyze the relevant research content,research progress and research results in this paper.From the analysis results,we can see that with the development and maturity of emerging technologies,such as mobile Internet technology,large data technology,virtual reality technology and augmented reality technology,the hypermedia will migrate to mobile devices gradually.The application of hypermedia technology in the field of geospatial science is also advancing and developing in the following three directions: standardization of data organization,application of new technology and enlargement of application area.2.The framework of map hypermedia framework based on mobile terminal is established in this paper.Based on the advantage of hypermedia and the portability characteristics of mobile terminals,this paper integrates traditional media,digital media and mobile media,and establishes a hypermedia framework based on mobile terminals.This research can lay a theoretical foundation for the media collaboration and the application of traditional media,digital media and mobile media in the field of geographic information expression.3.The map hypermedia data model is built in this paper.Based on the idea of media convergence,the traditional media,digital media and mobile media are applied to the expression process of geographic information,which seems that it is the integration of three types of media,but in essence,it is the data resource sharing and data cross access.According to the characteristics of hypermedia supporting rich data types,this paper analyzes various data types,and constructs a map hypermedia data model with three layers.This research provides theoretical guidance and technical basis for the organization,retrieval,access and storage of hypermedia data.4.The algorithm of image detection and recognition for mobile terminal is optimized in this paper.In the application of hypermedia technology,the key factor is image feature detection and recognition algorithm based on mobile terminal.In this paper,three representative image feature detection and recognition algorithms are selected,which are SIFT,Freak and ORB.The research results show that compared with other algorithms,the ORB algorithm has the advantages of high efficiency,strong robustness and good stability,and is more suitable for mobile terminal electronic devices.In addition,we propose a C-ORB algorithm by combing the color information with the ORB.The experimental results show that the accuracy and stability of C-ORB algorithm is improved on the basis of keeping the high efficiency of ORB.5.A simplification approach for 3D terrain with multi-constraints consideration is proposed in this paper.Due to the limitation of data storage capacity,graphics processing ability and graphics rendering ability of mobile terminal,when applying 3D model,especially 3D terrain,to a mobile terminal,3D data should be optimized and simplified.In order to solve this problem,a simplification approach for 3D terrain with multi-constraints consideration is proposed in this paper.Comparing with traditional algorithm,the experiment results show that the improved simplified approach can decrease the geometric error and preserving visual features as well.6.A prototype system of map hypermedia based on mobile terminal is developed in this paper.Through the development of the prototype system,we have realized the effective integration of traditional media,mobile media and digital media in the expression of geographic information.The prototype system of map hypermedia based on mobile terminals can not only enable users to observe geographic information from different perspectives,directions,and distances from personal perspective,but also be more consistent with people’s spatial cognition characteristics.At the same time,the data carrying capacity and data expression ability of the traditional paper map have also been further expanded.
