The Defense Of Epistemological Nature Of Sensory Image

The philosophical problem about vision has always been the main problem of philosophy.However,traditional epistemological philosophy has never really found the answer to how human beings acquire knowledge through vision.With the rapid development of modern science and technology,the popularity of digital visual technology to let the public increasingly into the visual information of the big bang,also more and more people realize the visual and its derivatives has immeasurable cognitive and social function,but the essence of visual epistemology,the concrete mechanism,scientific explanation and the possible social consequences are still not very clear.Therefore,under such a big background,the philosophical investigation and evaluation of vision is becoming more and more urgent,and is becoming an important subject with the significance of The Times.This paper tries to choose the visual sensation perspective as the starting point,because visual sensation is the initial stage of communication,which is earlier than visual perception,and the result is presented as an image of presence.The unique feature of image lies in that the image emphasizes more the sense of immediacy and the sense of scene when the visual sensation occurs.It is the direct object of the visual sensation activity and also contains the real attributes possessed by the external visual object.However,picture,imagery,schema and other contents similar to images are derived from images.Therefore,only by choosing sensory images can we truly realize a complete investigation of vision.Epistemology,as one of the basic fields of philosophy,is a study of epistemology based on sensory images,which has the maximum dominant effect on the investigation of the epistemological value of visual faculties in different dimensions of individuals,science and society.This paper determines the visual sense of images in the knowledge concerning the problems existing in the research process,namely in the study of the traditional theory of knowledge,sensory image perceived value has not been generally recognized by the previous,especially in philosophy of language turning and the rise of scientific realism,sensory image because the mainstream philosophy of language and science,and considered to be no logical attributes of conceptual materials.This is not to be agreed with in this paper.For,if this objection is correct,we shall not be able to explain how the mind can acquire knowledge of the real world,and the objectivity of the human knowledge system will be threatened.Therefore,it is necessary to reexamine the epistemological function of visual sensation and its image in the demonstration of knowledge,so that people can not only clearly understand the epistemological mechanism of vision,but also protect the foundation of human knowledge from being shaken.Therefore,this paper discusses the differences and confusions in the definition of sensory image,and defines the proper meaning of the concept of image from the perspective of etymology.After that,the author tries to make philosophical argumentation on the possible epistemological functions of sensory images,analyzes the conceptual characteristics and the logical nature of images,and justifies the role of sensory images in the framework and the foundation of scientific knowledge system.In response to and defense of the possible theoretical problems and social public value problems of sensory image in philosophical and social aspects,the following conclusions are drawn:First,since Descartes,most philosophers who discuss vision have distinguished different representations of vision in different epistemological stages,but the confusion of the concept of Image is caused by the lack of specific investigation.To understand its real concept,it is necessary to build on the ontology and epistemology of relevant arguments to get it.Image is not only an important medium of direct contact between human beings and the world,but also contains the content of conceptual propositions of rational operation in its internal essence.Normal sensory subjects can make objective judgments on the world directly through sensory images.Second,the logical application value of sensory image and its technical extension has been reflected in the observation,the confirmation and the communication of modern scientific theory,and the direct epistemological ability of sensory image has laid a foundation for the reliability of these applications.In science,image not only bears the representational function of meaning,but also provides the framework of methodology for the whole system of scientific theory.Finally,although the theory of knowledge value of images in the context of the traditional philosophy is not widely accepted,but start from the standpoint of the ontology of simple realism sense of images,can reasonably provide effective philosophical defense for its own,this defense based on natural history type naturalism,the controversy of reductionism and reductionism,others heart is known and unknown debate,the problem of the relationship between the mind and the world as introduction,rejected from the physicalist and scientific naturalism theory criticism,demonstrates the sense images in the context of the mainstream philosophy still has the legal status of epistemology.In a word,visual image,is the logic item of sensibility、phenomenal,epistemological,starting from it,we can update our knowledge of the Cogito,consolidate our knowledge base.It can also serve philosophical speculation and scientific reasoning at the level of philosophy of science,so as to achieve multi-win of image,subject,philosophy and science.
