This study is based on " The CBM vertical wells demonstration project development program in the south of Qinshui basin in Shanxi","The CBM development program in S houyang" and " The CBM production performance project in Shizhuang".By using the seismic,geologic,drilling,logging,well-testing drainage,and some other data,the paper concludes the CBM reservoir' s characters which include the structure,sedimentary environment,hydrogeology,geometrical morphology,burial depth,thickness,coal rank,pressure,permeability,gas saturation,adsorption/desorption,fluid property as well as its plane and spatial distribution pattern.Based on these parameters,the paper prioritizes the blocks and makes the reservoir model.Referring to the reserves evaluation standard,the paper calculates and verifies CBM reservoir' s proved reserves,recoverable reserves and economic recoverable reserves.Using the reservoir model,the paper simulates the history production performance.By the history matching,the paper concludes the proper parameters about the reservoir in fact.With a reservoir model closed to the actual,the CBM well performance can be predicted.Then it' s certain to design the development mode,to divide a series of development layers,to optimize the development well pattern and spacing,to determine a proper gas production rate and recovery.Finally,the paper puts forward a production plan and makes a sustainable development project through the actual and simulated situation.To analyze the actual production situation in the study area,Using the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method in fuzzy mathematics,the capacity of the parameters are classified and graded,Finally the study area can be divided into high production area,middle production area and low production area,Then using the numerically simulated,the production situation will be Analyzed.In addition,for determining the priority and extent of parameters asjustment,the paper analyzes the reservior physical properties' sensitivity before the history matching.CBM well pattern' s optimization is the key for CBM development.First of all,the well pattern's type and arrangement orientation should be designed.And in aspect of the selection and optimization about the well spacing,the numerical simulation method is applied in this paper.In this process,the production parameter is transformed into dimensionless form Then with the geologic data,the optimal well spacing which makes the production has a least decrease and the recovery has a most increase is determined.After this process,the optimal well pattern is obtained by means of economic analysis.Finally,this paper concludes the initial water yield and drainage' s impacts on the gas production which includes the horizontal wells'water yield impacts on the vertical wells ' gas production.Though the discussion and concludes above,the optimal development mode in the study area is designed and the paper evaluates the gas production capacity to conduct the production.
