The Study Of Clothing Image Affective Computing Based On Emotion Measurements

The development of the age brings superior living conditions to us,which makes people's demand changes from material wealth to spiritual enjoyment.Clothing,as one of the four big demands for human beings,becomes the main media of the spiritual.Costume pattern,as an important part which can reflect the clothing emotional value,becomes the key point of design based on emotional experience.Based on above reasons,it is very necessary to explore the costume patterns' design method which is more aligned with consumers' emotional recognition combining their emotional needs with their aesthetic expectations.Among the existing researches,there are only a few studies have combined consumer emotional reactions with the effect of clothing pattern design,and most of them only centered on the design of patterns with simple structures.In fact,Chinese traditional costume patterns,as a art form with the combination of Chinese ancient civilization as well as the their happy emotional sustenance,are easier to make people have emotional resonance.Among them,the design of costume patterns in Ming and Qing dynasty reaches the peak of the combination between patterns' "shape" and their "meaning",and the design of that period was more closely related to people's emotion,which makes the pattern design in Ming and Qing dynasty have a high research value in individual's emotion level.This paper took costume patterns in Ming and Qing dynasty as main objects,based on emotional quantitative methods,aiming at exploring the applicability of different kinds of patterns in modern clothing design,so as to make the design more in line with the aesthetic expectation of modern consumers.At the same time,this paper has set up a bridge for traditional culture and modern design,which has great significance on the inheritance of Chinese traditional culture in modern clothing.The main research methods and main work in this paper include:(1)By literature review,this paper summarized the design elements,the application forms,the decorative themes,and the performance methods of auspicious implies of costume patterns in Ming and Qing dynasty,as well as discussed their correlation with human emotions and summed up the main methods of emotion measurements.(2)From material summarizing and research by questionnaires,this paper extracted the typical design elements of costume patterns in Ming and Qing dynasty;then based on the PAD three dimensional emotion evaluation model,using the E-prime psychology experiment method,this paper completed to mark the emotional categories of each typical design element and obtained their emotion evaluation results in three dimensions of PAD from quantitative perspectives,and reasoned out modern consumers' different recognition to different elements.(3)Based on PAD emotion evaluation model and the E-prime experimental method,taking dragon and phoenix in typical elements as main research objects,this paper studied the relationship between dragon and phoenix patterns' representative design features in Ming and Qing dynasty and their emotion evaluation results using quantitative analysis;then by means of mathematical modeling,this paper established the linear regression model of these two objects;according to the linear regression model,patterns applicability can be improved by changing their elements' design features.(4)Based on PAD emotion evaluation model,as well as the eye tracking experiment,this paper studied the impact of different patterns' combination ways with negative dragon and phoenix as patterns' center on different consumers' emotions subjectively and objectively,so as to obtain the elements combination methods to make the combined pattern reflect positive emotions;that is to say,this paper discussed the method of improving the applicability of costume patterns in Ming and Qing dynasty from the angel of elements combination.(5)Based on MATLAB R2014 b software development platform,this paper designed and developed an emotion evaluation prediction system of typical design elements of costume patterns in Ming and Qing dynasty;the system can provide a simple and convenient way for the prediction of the applicability of costume patterns in Ming and Qing dynasty in modern clothing design.At the same time,this paper also put forward the design thought for the emotion evaluation prediction system of patterns which have combining forms.The main research conclusion in this paper includes:(1)Achieve the consumers' different attitudes on the application of different types of elements in Ming and Qing costume patterns in modern clothing design.From the analysis of typical design elements' emotion marking results,it can be considered that the elements marked with positive emotions are the types which modern consumers are willing to accept;the elements marked with negative emotions are the types which modern consumers are difficult to accept.According to the conclusion of elements' emotion classification,this paper can achieve the applicability evaluation results of different types of costume patterns in Ming and Qing dynasty in modern design.(2)Achieve the impacts of samples' "element type" and observers' "gender" on costume patterns' emotion evaluation results in Ming and Qing dynasty.From the main effect inspection of research results,it can get how much of an impact the "element type" of Ming and Qing dynasty's costume pattern has on the emotion evaluation results.According to the conclusion,it can get the quantitative interpretation of the influence of different element types in different emotion evaluation dimensions in order to guide the design according to consumers' different emotions.At the same time,it can get how much of an impact the observers' "gender" has on the patterns' emotion evaluation results,and the conclusion is helpful for the pattern design based on consumers' different gender.(3)Achieve the linear regression model between typical design elements of dragon and phoenix patterns in Ming and Qing dynasty and their emotion evaluation results.By extracting the representative design elements of dragon and phoenix pattern in Ming and Qing dynasty and quantitative analysis,together with analyzing the emotion evaluation results from different design samples,it can get the linear regression model between representative design elements of dragon and phoenix pattern in Ming and Qing dynasty and their emotion evaluation results using mathematical modeling methods.In the model,it shows the design elements of dragon and phoenix pattern mainly affect people's emotion together with their influence degree,and the model also shows that whether the influence from each element on emotions is positive or negative.It helps to understand the relationship between pattern's different design features and their emotion evaluation results.(4)Achieve the method to improve the applicability of the combination type of costume patterns in Ming and Qing dynasty in modern design.By adding different types of elements with positive emotion evaluation around negative dragon and phoenix patterns,this research analyzed the influence which patterns with different combination forms have on people's subjective emotion evaluation and their objective law of eye movement.By Combining the conclusion of two experiments,this paper found out the method to make combination patterns reflect positive emotions,so as to improve the applicability of the composite forms of Ming and Qing dynasty's costume pattern in modern design.(5)Design and develop an emotion evaluation prediction system of typical design elements of Ming and Qing dynasty's costume patterns,and put forward the design train of thought of Ming and Qing dynasty's combination costume pattern's emotion evaluation prediction system.By combining all the research conclusions,based on MATLAB R2014 b platform,with LBP image feature extraction algorithm and KNN classification algorithm as the core algorithms,this paper implemented the design and development of an emotion evaluation prediction system which can directly predict the emotion categories of Ming and Qing dynasty's costume patterns' design elements.The system can pick different prediction algorithms according to different types of samples,so as to ensure the accuracy of the predicted results.At the same time,this paper also put forward the design train of thought of Ming and Qing dynasty's combination costume pattern's emotion evaluation prediction system with dragon and phoenix as pattern center,which provided reference for the development of related systems.By the integration of design,psychology,computer science and other multi-disciplinary research methods,the research innovations in this paper are mainly include:(1)Based on the PAD emotion evaluation model,this paper quantified individual's emotional responses,and achieved the applicability evaluation results of Ming and Qing dynasty's costume patterns in modern clothing design.By taking PAD emotion evaluation experiment,this paper quantified people's emotional reactions to Ming and Qing dynasty's costume pattern,and completed to mark the emotional categories of each typical design element.According to the results it can be thought that samples with positive evaluation have high applicability in modern clothing design;samples with negative evaluation have low applicability in modern clothing design.At the same time,based on PAD model this paper also made quantitative analysis about the influence which difference of samples' "element type" and observers' "gender" have on their emotion evaluation.The conclusion provides the reference to costume pattern design according to different consumers' emotion needs and consumer groups with different gender.(2)By using the method of regression analysis,this paper established the mapping relationship between dragon and phoenix patterns' representative design features of Ming and Qing dynasty and their emotion evaluation results.By extraction and coding the dragon and phoenix patterns' representative design features,this paper got the quantitative representing results of corresponding design features,and by considering together with different PAD emotion evaluation results of different samples,and using multiple linear regression analysis method,this paper set up the mapping relationship between dragon and phoenix patterns' representative design features of Ming and Qing dynasty and their emotion evaluation results.The mapping relation can not only shows the main design features which impact the emotion evaluation results of dragon and phoenix patterns the most,but also reflect the different influence degree which different design features have on their emotion evaluation results,as well as whether the influence is positive or negative.By referencing to the mapping relationship,designers can change the P value,A value,the D value of patterns evaluation results by adjusting design features,in order to achieve emotion categories conversion between eight different emotion types according to the actual demands.(3)By the comprehensive analysis of individual's subjective PAD emotion evaluation and their objective law of eye movement,this paper put forward methods to improve the applicability of Ming and Qing dynasty's costume pattern from the angle of the elements combination.By the comprehensive analysis of consumers' subjective PAD emotional responses and their objective law of eye movement when observing the experimental samples,this paper acquired the methods to change the original patterns' negative emotion evaluations to positive results by elements combination,which is helpful to improve the applicability of Ming and Qing dynasty's costume patterns in modern clothing design.
