How to determine the distribution of remaining oil is one of main concerns in the second development of oilfield.According to the statistics, nearly 60% oil was produced in the second development of oilfield, how to forecast the distribution of remaining oil is also important. The production data shows that the distribution of sand body and reservoir heterogeneity are two important factors which effect the distribution of remaining oil.To describe sand characteristics and the heterogeneity of sand body combining geological data, well logging and seismic data are two key points.Field development is a process with more and more data including static geological data and production data with cross-check.The distribution becomes more and more complicated as the influence of reservoir heterogeneity becomes stronger with the increase of production. To forecast the distribution of remaining oil becomes more and more important based on flow unit and 3D static model by reservoir engineering and dynamic model.Based on reservoir description, the article explores a new method to forecast the distribution of remaining oil combing geological data, well logging and production data.According to reservoir description of Adar oilfiled based on flow unit using stochastic modeling and numerical simulation, the distribution of remaining oil was predicted, and development deployment was put forward which achieved some important results afterword.1)To construct the sedimentary system and sand distribution of Adar oilfield including qualitative and quantitative description using seismic data, well logging and geological data. The parameters of 3D geological model and logging interpretation are also obtained.2)Based on experimental data and logging interpretation,to establish the flow unit model and to classify the flow unit to 4 types with reservoir of Type I,Type II,Type III and non-reservoir of Type IV.Type III is the best type with high porosity and permeability, which is best to flow in the reservoir, and the Type I is the worst. The water saturation model is also established based on different flow unit types using J function.3)To construct the 3D static model based on flow unit using stochastic method, which also provides a geological basis for dynamic model and reservoir engineering. The water saturation model(Sw)based on flow unit sets up a bridge between static model and dynamic model.4)To describe the distribution of the remaining oil using reservoir engineering and numerical simulation in Adar oilfield.According to the enriched area of remaining oil,the development deployment plan is provided.
