Clothing is closely related to art.Because of the value implication of "Nature" clothing itself,the value inculcation of "Practical" in creation and the value embodiment of "beauty" in art,clothing also has thousands of artistic styles.In the southwest mountainous area where the Dong Minority live,the mountain roads are inconvenient,but the waterways are developed,the geographical environment is closed and the "duality" of the openness has formed the cultural style of the Dong Minority,which is both conservative and restrained,and open and enterprising.Therefore,in the contacts of different dynasties,regions and groups,the physical concept and aesthetic taste of the traditional clothing of the Dong ethnic groups are constantly changing,and they are moving towards diversity and art.This paper emphasis on the traditional clothing of Dong Minority in Dong nationality area,through consulting literature and materials,to evolution of Dong nationality and its traditional clothing diachronically,and based on two-year field research,I concludes that the local clan culture are the key to the form ation of the traditional clothing style of Dong traditional costume.Taking this as consideration,this paper divided the traditional clothing of 108 Dong villages into 19 categories.The study further discussion the three elements of clothing in-depth interpretation.About the appearance,analysis of different artistic characteristics of hesd Clothing,trunk clothing,foot clothing.About the color,this paper extracts an orderly background color system of clothing which related to the five colors of China,and a free decorative color system,and both of them emphasize the ethical value,and pointing color and clothing to the unity and practicality of form and function.About the cloth,the typical technical points and the application of core technology of traditional craft are recorded in detail,which provides authentic and professional reference materials for manual restoration of traditional clothing fabrics of Dong Minority in the future.Based on the above research on clothing itself,we continue to explore the spiritual connotation of harmonious coexistence,optimism and unity of human and clothing contained in Dong traditional clothing,and conclude the aesthetic characteristics of Dong traditional clothing,which is practical,regular,and rich in implications.Because traditional clothing deeply rooted in the cultural environment of nation,the change of living environment directly leads to the change of clothing culture and its artistic characteristics to different degrees.Due to these changes,the traditional clothing of Dong Minority presents three different ways of continuation in nowadays,the so-called,conservation of intangible cultural heritage as "source" and goods of intangible cultural heritage and Cultural and creative products as "flow".The three go hand in hand with each other and have their own emphases to jointly promote the sustainable development of traditional clothing of the Dong nationality.This paper is divided into six chapters: introduction mainly describes the topics of reason and the research content and research methods,the part mainly discussing the current research situation in this field,the research objects and in novation points;The first chapter elaborates the historical context of the Dong Minority and Dong traditional clothing as well as.The classification of Dong traditional clothing in Guizhou,Guangxi and Hunan Provinces.The second,third and fourth chapters respectively expound the artistic characteristics of Dong traditional clothing from three aspects: appearance,color and fabric pattern.The fifth chapter discusses the spiritual connotation and aesthetic characteristics of Dong traditional clothing,which shows that Dong traditional clothing is the creation of Dong people's spiritual outlook,folk wisdom,craftsman spirit.The sixth chapter discusses the changes of Dong traditional clothing in the context of industrial civilization and contemporary continuity.The conclusion about the cross-border behavior and boundary establishment of the traditional clothing and even the cultural industry of the Dong nationality in the contemporary continuation.
