In recent years,with the rapid development of the global economy,the accompanying large-scale discharge of production and domestic sewage has caused environmental problems to become increasingly serious.In addition to containing oil,oily wastewater contains many soluble pollutants,such as dyes,heavy metal ions,and proteins.These soluble pollutants also cause great harm to the ecological environment.Therefore,wastewater treatment not only need remove oil but also remove soluble pollutants from sewage.Although the oil/water separation materials with special wettability prepared by combination of surface structure and chemical composition have made great progress,these materials still face some new problems,such as: the complex production process,single function,poor stability and so on.To solve these problems,this paper proposes new type of special wettability oil-water separation materials with low cost,wide application range and multi-function through simple and easy methods.The works of this paper are as follows:1)We prepared polyethylene-coated oil/water separation mesh using the recycled PE gloves as raw materials simply by dissolution-soaking method.Such mesh showed high hydrophobicity and super-oleophilicity properties with high separation efficiency for different types of oil/water mixtures.It also exhibited high flux,good stability,reusability,and resistance to strong acids,alkalis and oxidizing environments.This research result opens up new prospects for the solution of white pollution,recycling of waste products,and preparation of efficient oil-water separation materials.2)We prepare PDA/PEPA/disulfide-coated dual functional membranes with super-hydrophilic/underwater superoleophobic properties by combining mussel-inspired chemistry and 1-ethyl-3-(3'-dimethylaminopropyl)carbodiimide/N-hydroxysuccinimide(EDC/NHS)coupling reaction.Based on the high adhesion properties of dopamine,we first immersed the nylon membrane in an aqueous solution of dopamine and polyethylene polyamines to prepare a PDA/PEPA-coated membrane,and then grafted disulfide bonds on the surface of the membrane by EDC/NHS coupling reaction.Thus,dual functional membranes with capability of both oil/ water separation and effective adsorption of water soluble proteins were prepared.This study provides new ideas for exploring the treatment of water-soluble pollutants.3)Preparation of dual functional oil/water separation membrane with the capability of adsorption of mercury ions in sewage water by mussel-inspired chemistry.The PDA/PEPA coated membrane was first prepared by mussel-inspired chemistry,and then the mercapto group was modified on the surface by coupling reaction.The mercapto group was able to reversibly adsorb mercury ions during oil/water separation by the affinity with mercury ions.At the same time,the dual function membrane can achieve desorption and regeneration in dilute nitric acid solution.The dual function membrane will help reduce the problem of heavy metal ion contamination in oily wastewater.4)Preparation and application of hydrogel coated membranes for selective oil-in-water emulsion separation.A poly(2-acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propanesulfonic acid)hydrogel coated membrane that selectively separated oil-in-water emulsions was prepared by one-step photoinitiated radical polymerization.The membrane can effectively separated many types of surfactant-stabilized oil-in-water emulsions.And the fabrication protocol is facile,cost-efficient and environmentally friendly,and it is helpful for its extensive application in sewage remediation.
