With the continuous development of highway construction in our country,the scale of trunk highway network of our country and province has been formed,and has gradually formed a transitional stage from construction to maintenance and maintenance management.How to allocate and use limited funds to maintain a high level of performance and service levels to reflect sustainability;For sustainable road networks,how to optimize maintenance measures to make them relatively efficient;How to control the selected maintenance measures to ensure its stability and durability;These three aspects are the key technical issues that need to be solved urgently to achieve sustainable development of the road.Because of the differences of road structure,climate condition,traffic load,maintenance level and road age,the roads in the road network will be at different technical level.In the short term,the road section with poor technical conditions in the road network will be upgraded to an excellent condition.There is neither sufficient technical team support nor sufficient economic support.However,the traditional method of prioritizing the worst road sections missed the opportunity to maintain good road sections,which results in a sharp increase in poor sections and maintenance funds required in the road network.Secondly,it is necessary to evaluate the efficiency of the actual maintenance process of sections and to analyze the effective maintenance measures;In addition,after the implementation of the maintenance technology,the lack of systematic study on the adhesion performance of the maintenance process and the original pavement,and the adaptability of traffic load and natural environmentits,which caused by diseases such as flaking and oil spills.These have limited the progress and development of preventive maintenance technology to a certain extent.Based on the above backgrounds,In order to achieve the sustainable development of national and provincial trunk roads,this paper conducts road sustainable development research from three aspects: the sustainability of road network,the relatively high efficiency of conservation measures,and the stability and durability of conservation measures.Over four years,non-destructive testing equipment was used to detect the technical status of more than 10,000 lanes & kilometers of national trunk highways in Guangzhou and Foshan.The traffic data of 123 continuous traffic observation stations were analyzed,and 30,000 sets of pavement performance data were predicted.More than 400 sets of indoor permeability and temperature difference tests were carried out.Infrared permeability performance was used to detect 1.3 million square meters of pavement and 612 groups of in-situ permeability tests were compared,then spread 900 thousand square meters of micrometer test section.Through the research,the technical condition of road network has been improved,the utilization rate of funds has been raised,the annual difference of manual and mechanical equipment has been reduced,the stability and durability of maintenance technology has been improved.Realizing the development of road sustainability from theory and practice.The dissertation draws the following innovative results:1.Based on the theory and practice of road assets preservation,the realization method of sustainable development of network-level pavement is developed.Revealing the RSL attenuation law of the remaining service life of the road network and the RSI distribution characteristics of the remaining service period.Developed road maintenance technology based on RSI distribution balance of remaining service period and maintenance of annual fund and workload balance.So as to solve the technical problems of passive maintenance of " worst first " and the allocation of annual maintenance funds relying on subjective and experience.2.Data envelopment analysis(DEA)is used to make the efficiency evaluation decision of maintenance measures,and the efficiency evaluation models of different maintenance measures are established.Based on the relative effective concept,quantitatively assess the utilization of input factors or the achievement of output targets for each segment,the relatively effective pavement maintenance strategy is formulated to achieve the scientific evaluation and reasonable maintenance policy of the effect of pavement maintenance decision-making.3.The road maintenance compatibility control method and technology are created,which break through engineering application bottlenecks.The evaluation technology of seepage characteristics of original pavement based on temperature difference of road surface is developed,which revealed the coupled decay mechanism of water and maintenance measures in the surface voids.The experimental and performance control method of matching and coordinating maintenance technology with traffic load and environmental characteristics are developed.Engineering application and optimization of test section show that preventive maintenance technology breaks through the current status of experience-based conservation material selection and control.Solved the problems of easy spalling,stability and poor durability of the curing process and achieved conservation measures compatibility.Which has been achieved sustainable development at the project level.4.The pavement performance attenuation index and method which combines probability statistics with empirical model are developed.Taking the pavement quality index PQI as an index and using probability and statistics method,the anti-S decay model of pavement performance is obtained by calculating different pavement structures and traffic loads.The method of improving pavement performance by implementing maintenance measures is proposed,which achieved the dynamic decision-making of road maintenance,and solved the performance decay prediction problem when the road network history detection data is small and the uncertainty factors are many.
