In recent years,amid with the continuous development of economy,people's living standard has been significantly improved with a faster life pace,which present a huge challenge for the traditional logistics warehousing mode.One of the most important methods to solve this problem is to improve the operational efficiency.What's more,those traditional labor-intensive warehousing enterprises are facing increasing pressure with the rising of land and labor costs,which make the improvement of working efficiency and the warehouse space utilization essential factors for improving operational efficiency and reducing operational costs.Therefore,a growing number of enterprises become to realize the importance of modern logistics system and take it as the core competitiveness of the whole enterprise.The traditional logistics system is non-standardized and artificial while the modern logistics system is characterized by standardization,informationization,automation,visualization and controllability of the whole logistics link.As an important part of modern logistics system,automated warehousing system is characterized by high storage density and automation,which makes it possible to effectively solve the problem of land shortage and high labor costs and has gained more and more attention from scholars and enterprises.At present,the most frequently applied and studied automatic warehouse system includes three types: Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems(AS/RS),Autonomous Vehicle Storage and Retrieval Systems(AVS/RS)and Compact Storage and Retrieval Systems(Compact S/RS).However,the storage and retrieval operations of all three types are serial mode,which essentially limits the throughput efficiency of system.Although the storage and retrieval operation of Compact S/RS is also a serial mode,it is possible to operate parallelly with powered devices arranged in each lane.Based on the storage characteristic of pharmaceutical enterprises and e-commerce,this thesis proposes two types of parallel retrieval compact automated S/RS to essentially improve the throughput efficiency of system,thus meeting the warehousing demands of pharmaceutical enterprises and e-commerce.The warehousing demands represented by pharmaceutical enterprises are characterized by less product types,large warehousing quantity and high throughput efficiency.Based on these characteristics,this thesis firstly proposes a parallel retrieval compact automated S/RS for the warehousing demands of pharmaceutical enterprises.Meanwhile,this thesis also designs and models this system and sorts out the work logics of the storage and retrieval operation.The travel time modeling of the warehouse system adopts the way of mathematical modeling to represent the throughput efficiency.This thesis respectively establishes travel time models for the storage and retrieval operation to represent the throughput efficiency of the system and Matlab is adopted to simulate the work logics of system to verify the effectiveness of the mathematical models.Secondly,the warehousing demands represented by e-commerce are characterized by small quantity and large variety.For this,this thesis also proposes a parallel retrieval compact automated S/RS for the warehousing demands of e-commence,which can accommodate more kinds of goods in the same storage scale and meet the warehousing demands of such enterprises.This thesis gives a design description of the parallel retrieval compact automated S/RS for e-commence and elaborates the work logics of system.Meanwhile,this thesis establishes travel time models for the storage and retrieval operation to represent the throughput efficiency of the system.Besides,Matlab is adopted to conduct simulation analysis of the work logics and then the simulation results are compared with model calculation results to verify the effectiveness of the model.Congestion may appear in both of the two types of new system when a large number of products are retrieved at the same time.As for the congestion,the thesis conducts an indepth analysis of the causes,puts forward corresponding strategies to eliminate the congestion and conducts a further simulation analysis through Matlab to make the total retrieval time tends to the optimal on the premise of ensuring the elimination of congestion.In addition,this thesis also proposes the concept of work intensity unbalance and further defines the upper limit of the product quantity in each batch to balance the work intensity of each retrieval batch.On the basis of the warehousing characteristics of pharmaceutical enterprises and ecommerce,this thesis proposes two types of parallel retrieval compact automated storage and retrieval system and conducts a comprehensive analysis of the system,which can provide researchers with new research ideas and directions as well as offer more options in warehousing construction.
