Under the multiple pressures, such as climate warming and environmental pollution, the proportion of gas-fired power generation in the power system is increasing frequently, which is gradually intensifying the interdependencies between the power system and the natural gas system. Thus,it is significant to make a profound study on the environmental economic dispatch?EED?of the integrated electricity and natural gas system?IENGS?while considering the operation constraints of the power system and the natural gas system simultaneously.Meanwhile, new opportunities and challenges are brought to the EED of the IENGS,due to the integration of large-scale renewable energy sources, power to gas?PtG?technology, integrated demand response?IDR?,and various environmental related policies. In the context, this dissertation focuses on the study of the EED of the IENGS with the following works:Firstly,to excavate the advantages of carbon capture systems and PtG facilities in wind power utilization and carbon dioxide?CO2?emission reduction,a flexible operation mode is proposed through combining carbon capture systems,PtG facilities and additional facilities, and an EED model of the IENGS is established considering this flexible operation mode. The nonlinear equations in the model are linearized by incremental piecewise linearization method, and then the model is transformed into a mixed integer linear programming?MILP?problem which can be solved directly by a commercial solver. The effects of carbon capture systems,PtG facilities and flexible operation mode on the EED of the IENGS are analyzed by simulation examples.Secondly,to explore the impacts of IDR and air pollution control technologies on the EED of the IENGS,the energy hub?EH?embedded with IDR is introduced as the intermediate link between energy transmission and energy consumption of the IENGS,and various air pollution control technologies are deployed into the fossil fuel-fired units. An EED model of the IENGS is proposed considering the IDR and air pollution control technologies. In the presented model, the emission cost includes the carbon trading cost of carbon dioxide?CO2?and the emission penalty cost of nitrogen oxides?NOx?,and the nonlinear equations are converted by various piecewise linearization technologies. The effects of IDR and air pollution control technologies on the EED of the IENGS are analyzed by simulation examples.Thirdly,on the basis of considering Pt G facilities and various air pollution control technologies, taking the time-space difference of the impacts of CO2 and air pollutants on the environment into account,in view of the possible shortage of inter regional wind power transmission channels, and the prediction errors of wind power, electricity load as well as gas load,an EED model of the IENGS is proposed considering emission limitations and spinning reserve constraints. The emission limitations of air pollutants depend on the pollution level corresponding to the regional air quality index. The spinning reserve required by the IENGS is provided by various flexible resources, such as fossil fuel-fired units,PtG facilities, natural gas pipelines, gas storage facilities, etc.,while the regional spinning reserve of the power system is required to deal with the wind power transmission congestion. The effects of different emission limitations and spinning reserve constraints on the IENGS are analyzed by simulation examples. Finally,on the basis of above research,to further quantify the impacts of various prediction errors and the taxation of environmental protection on the EED of the IENGS,an EED model of the IENGS is proposed based on a hybrid stochastic-information gap decision theory method. The presented model includes two stages. The first stage is a stochastic optimization model with the prediction errors of wind power and air quality index. On the basis of the first stage, the second stage establishes a risk-adverse model and a risk-seeker model considering the prediction error of the carbon trading price. The effects of the taxation of environmental protection and various prediction errors on the EED of the IENGS are analyzed by the simulation examples.
