Design Thinking has always been an important scientific issue in design research.Design thinking studies answer the question of what the design ontology is.Nigle Cross put forward the "designerly way of knowing",emphasizing the professionalism and particularity of design thinking,and proposing that design thinking is a parallel thinking with scientific thinking and humanistic thinking category.The topic o f this paper originated from the sub-project of the National 973 Project.It also originated from the uniqueness of the design thinking and the conflict of design team communication among the multiple design projects that the author participated in.The research focuses on the field of automotive design,and the research questions are: First,in the design process,how does design thinking develop in a way,is there a logic and attribute variation? Second,the multidisciplinary and multi-role collaboration of automotive design,how to complete dialogue and communication between design roles,how to resolve conflicts and conflict coordination issues?Design thinking is an ambitious research field.This paper focuses on the graphic thinking of automotive design.The research theme is: graphic thinking of automobile design.The objectives of the research are: first,the elements contained in the graphic thinking of the automobile modeling,and the deductive arguments of the relationship between the various elements;second,comparing the differences in the attributes of the designer’s graphic thinking in different design stages;third,between different design roles the dialogue feature builds an effective dialogue platform between design roles.This study seeks to combine theoretical basis with factual basis.On the basis of theory,this paper used the "document research method" and "contrast analysis method".The theoretical research mainly involves the research foundations in the fields of design,cognitive psychology,management science,information science,etc.,and obtains credible theoretical claims through literature research.Compared with the framework model,the theory that is most suitable for the research field is selected as a reference through comparative analysis;the research methods adopted on the factual basis are “case analysis method” and “questionnaire experiment method”,which are obtained through project case analysis and questionnaire experiment.Corresponding examples and data are used to support and validate the logic and models presented in the theoretical analysis.The practical design projects involved include “Partial Retrofit Design of Dongfeng LiuQijingyi X5”,“New Model Development Design of LiuQi X3,X5” and “Vehicle Interior and Exterior Design of HNU-E Concept Electric”.The empirical researches of the experiment mainly include "Cognitive Research on Designers and Users’ Car Imagery Cognition","Investigation on Image Clues in Automotive Design and Creative Design","Experience Di fferences between Designer Experts and Novice Design Thinking" and "Experiment Evaluation of 2D Graphics to 3D Entity Conversion".The main research results are summarized as follows:Firstly,the graphic thinking model of automobile design is constructed,and the three modules include behavioral activity,ontology content and characterization type as the basic theoretical scope and framework of this paper.The behavioral activities of designing graphic thinking are summarized as visual thinking and visual dialogue,in which visual thinking is mainly based on visual problems of design problems and design solutions,while visual dialogue is mainly based on dialogue activities of design intent interpretation and design scheme persuasion;The content is summari zed as the objectivity and expressiveness of the design image,including the design problem,the reasoning of the design information,and the derivation of the design form and design function.The expressiveness includes the performance of the carrier and the expressiveness;Imagery and explicit representation.Taking this as the basic theoretical framework,through the methods of cognitive experiment and case analysis,the behavior,ontology and representation of graphic thinking and its internal relationship are proposed.Secondly,clarified the differences in the attributes of the graphic design of the car design.The research summarizes the design process into two main stages: design creativity and design materialization.On this basis,the process is fu rther divided into the starting point of thinking,creative guidance and capture,concept generation,modeling performance,shape shaping and approximation,and perfect modeling.With verification.Through the design case and experimental analysis,from the perspective of morphological derivation of carrier comparison,the comparison is made from four aspects: expressiveness,ambiguity,parallelism and evolutionary dimension.The research finds that the design creative stage is mainly based on fuzzy illustr ation and two-dimensional illustration.The study summarizes the two-dimensional diagram into a multi-dimensional,multi-channel differential solution,which is a creative thinking activity by deriving “finding shape”;the design materialization stage is based on three-dimensional illustration,and the research summarizes the three-dimensional diagram into finite and microscopic The similarity solution is a materialized thinking activity through trial and error "shaping and gestalt".Thirdly,the paper compares and analyzes the differences of thinking and conflict between design characters,and puts forward the dialogue content,dialogue method and dialogue mode between the characters of automobile design.Through case analysis,the research finds that there is a dialogue between design characters based on two-dimensional diagrams and three-dimensional diagrams.Among them,the study defines the phased and common derivation of real-time communication between designers and digital modelers as “staged parallel push”."derivative" mode;the phased,non-real-time feedback communication mode between the digital model master and the engineer is defined as the "staged delay derivation" mode;the continuous and full participation of the designer and the oil mason The derivation of real-time communication mode is defined as the “continuous cross-referential” model.Aiming at the difference of thinking inertia and role conflict,based on the management analysis method,it discusses the cognitive conflict,process conflic t and emotional conflict,and puts forward the conflicts cognitive thinking of the stylist "seeking change" and the engineer "seeking use",as well as credible emotions and process conflicts based on design roles,design objects,and design processes.Fourthly,constructed design derivation aid model based on graphic thinking and a multi-role dialogue platform.Firstly,based on the differences of attributes of different explicit representations,the design strategies of different graphical representations of interactive derivation are proposed,and the design and design methods of interactive rendering of 2D and 3D representations are constructed,including imagery clues of psychological imagery.Design aided models,2D graphical rapid derivation and 3D graphical precision evolution models,and mass prototype forward and process model parallel methods.Secondly,based on the analysis of dialogue patterns and problem conflicts between different design roles,the design strategy of multi-role tacit knowledge explicit and dialogue scenes is proposed.Based on the explicit knowledge explicit method,the basic database of multi-role dialogue is constructed.And on this basis,built a multi-role dialogue platform framework.the purpose of this paper not only "seeking truth" but also "seeking truth".In terms of “seeking truth”,this paper provides the theoretical framework and research path of graphic thinking research,which can stimulate,inspire,refer to and supplement the research of design thinking in a wider range of products.In terms of “seeking use”,this paper constructs a design-based derivation aid model based on graphic thinking,providing designers with operational concept excitation,concept derivation and proof-of-concept methods for design-assisted requirements at different stages.In addition,the multi-role dialogue platform built in this article provides design teams with intuitive,easy-to-communicate,trusted,and efficiently managed design dialogue and communication methods.
