In this study,the varieties Changnong35,Jigu20 and Jingu50 were used as test materials,and 6 selenium concentrations were designed,In seedling stage,heading stage and filling stage,the millet spraying different concentration of selenium on the leaf,and potting dressing millet seed with different doses of selenium.Explore influence of the exogenous selenium on millet physiological characteristics,chlorophyll fluorescent characteristics and grain selenium content yield and quality,under the treatment conditions of different concentrations,different growth period and different method of selenium.To determine the optimum amount of selenium,best spraying period and appropriate way of selenium for foxtail millet,so as to provide a theoretical basis for production of selenium-rich foxtail millet.The results of the study are as follows:(1)Yield and yield factor increases with spraying on the leaf of exogenous selenium concentration presents a trend of reducing the rise,Key growth period of spraying selenium treatment reached the highest when the concentration of T3,In the heading stage production of T3 selenium concentrations increased compared with controls,most growth of 4.7%.Spraying on the leaf a moderate amount of exogenous selenium(T3)can effectively enhance the oxidation resistance of volunteers millet,and reduce the MDA and proline content.Meanwhile can improve chlorophyll content of foxtail millet(Changnong35),SPAD value and chlorophyll fluorescence characteristics,Selenium concentrations of chlorophyll content and chlorophyll fluorescence parameters of T3 treatment increased the most,after T3 concentration reached stable;(2)Leaf sprayed with different concentrations of sodium selenite could significantly increase the selenium content of millet grains,and the selenium content increased with the increase of spraying concentration.Filling stage T3 treatment,Jingu50 grain selenium content reached 0.297 mg · hm-2,which was increased by 8.6 times compared to the CK within the scope of the safety of the intake of selenium.A moderate amount of exogenous selenium can improve the crude protein content,fat content,lysinecontent,folic acid content,high concentration of selenium,will lower the nutrition quality of foxtail millet.T3 treatment of crude protein content,lysine content and folic acid content increased by 13.9%13.9%and 17.9%respectively compared with control;(3)Period of different spraying selenium effects on yield and form factor for heading stage>filling stage>seedling stage>control CK.Foliar spraying selenium at different stages of selenium obviously influence on physical characteristics of foxtail millet in at heading stage.Heading stage selenium treatment of SOD and POD activity is 40%greater than in control,the activity of GSH-px increase of 94%,GSH content highest 1.7 times more than the contrast,MDA content decreased by 64%.Seedling stage spraying selenium treatment of millet proline content is 33.2%less than the control,the extremely significant difference(P<0.01).Heading stage spraying on the leaf a moderate amount of exogenous selenium could significantly improve leaf chlorophyll content and chlorophyll fluorescence parameters.Spraying the right amount of selenium can improve the foxtail millet maximum photochemical efficiency(Fv/Fm),the actual photochemical efficiency(?PS?),electron transport rate(ETR)and photochemical quenching coefficient(qP),reduce the non-photochemical quenching coefficient(qN),resulting enhance the PS ? antenna pigment on the capture of light energy efficiency,reduce the heat dissipation of energy,improve the photochemical efficiency of PS ?;(4)Seedling stage,heading stage and filling stage foliar spraying selenium can improve the utilization rate,the selenium content of millet and grain selenium and organic selenium conversion rate.To influence degree is the filling stage>heading stage>seedling stage>control(CK).At different stages foliar spraying selenium can increase the crude protein content,crude fat content,lysine content and folic acid of foxtail millet.Compared with the millet growth prophase spray and selenium,filling stage foliar spraying selenium treatment on quality improvement effect is obvious;(5)Select the appropriate sodium selenite concentration of dressing millet seed(B2)can promote the growth and development of millet,increase grain yield and improve physiological.Selenium content of Jingu50,Jigu 20 and Changnong35 of dressing millet seed(B4)respectively higher than control 6 times,9 times and 7.8 times.(6)Millet grain selenium content in selenium seed treatment(B2)is between 0.5?1.5 times more than the contrast.millet grain selenium content of spraying on the leaf(T3)is between 2.5?3.6 times more than the contrast.Foliar application of selenium(T3)is superior to the improvement of millet grain selenium content in selenium seed treatment(B2),Applied foliar selenium to save the cost,more conducive to meet the demand of millet throughout the whole growth period of selenium and selenium content were increased and the quality.
