With the improvement of people's living standard,the demand for rice quality is increasing At present,there are many different types of japonica rice varieties in the seed market,and there are great differences in quality and yield among varieties,as well as in regional adaptability of different types of japonica rice varieties.Some researchers have carried out many variety screening studies in the light of the problems above mentioned,but previous studies are often limited to a few aspects of screening,such as yield or growth period,and have not formed a relatively complete screening method and evaluation index system.In tackling these issues,the experiment was carried out in Huai'an,Suqian,Huanghai and Donghai in 2017-2018.109 medium maturing medium japonica varieties and late maturing medium japonica varieties(strains)were used as test materials to study the differences of rice quality and yield formation of different types of japonica rive varieties in different regions of Huaibei In this study,a screening method of high-quality and high-efficiency japonica rice varieties suitable for Huaibei region was established,and high-quality and high-efficiency japonica rice varieties in Huaibei region were screened based on this method.According to the screeing results of high-quality and high-efficiency japonica rice varieties,the evaluation index system of high-quality and high-efficiency japonica rice varieties in Huaibei region was established.The main results are as follows1.Based on the investigation of growth period,lodging resistance and disease resistance of different types of japonica rice varieties,86,84,83 and 80 japonica rice varieties were screened out that could be normally mature in Huai'an,Suqian,Huanghai and Donghai,respectively.The suitable heading dates of different types of japonica rice varieties in Huai'an,Suqian,Huanghai and Donghai are from August 17 to September 5,August 16 to September 3,August 17 to September 4 and August 21 to September 14,respectively.The difference of processing quality among different types of japonica rice varieties is small,and the processing quality of all varieties meet the national standard of high quality rice.The appearance quality of conventional japonica rice varieties was significantly higher than that of soft rice varieties,especially the CR and CD were significantly lower than that of soft rice varieties,which was mainly related to the genetic factors of soft rice varieties.The protein content and amylose content of soft rice varieties were significantly lower than that of conventional japonica rice varieties,the gel consistency was longer,and the cooking and eating quality of soft rice was significantly higher than that of conventional japonica rice varieties.Among the yield components of different types of japonica rice varieties,the number of grains per panicle and the number of panicles varied greatly.The yield and nitrogen partial factor productivity of late maturing medium japonica varieties in Huai'an were significantly higher than that of medium maturing medium japonica varieties.There was no significant difference in the yield and nitrogen partial factor productivity between the medium maturing medium japonica varieties and late maturing medium japonica varieties in Suqian,and the effective accumulated temperature yield of medium maturing medium japonica varieties was significantly higher than that of late maturing medium japonica varieties.The yield,nitrogen partial factor productivity and effective accumulated temperature yield of medium maturing medium japonica varieties in Huanghai were significantly higher than those of late maturing medium japonica varieties There was no significant difference in the yield and nitrogen partial factor productivity between the medium maturing medium japonica varieties and late maturing medium japonica varieties in Donghai,and the effective accumulated temperature yield of the medium maturing medium japonica varieties was significantly higher than that of the late maturing medium japonica varieties.2.In this study,a screening method and evaluation index system of high-quality and high-efficiency japonica rice varieties in Huaibei region were established.The screening method includes the screeing of processing quality,appearance quality and cooking and eating quality.The screening of high-efficiency varieties includes the screening of utilization efficiency of temperature and nitrogen.The screening method of processing quality and appearance quality:according to the national standard of high quality rice(GBT 17891-2017),the varieties that meet the national standard of high quality rice were screened.It should be noted that the appearance quality of soft rice varieties is generally poor due to the influence of genetic factors.In this study,only the processing quality is considered in soft rice varieties screening.Screening method of cooking and eating quality:according to protein content,amylose content,gel consistency and RVA spectrum characteristic value,BP neural network method was used to comprehensively evaluate the cooking and eating quality of different types of japonica rice varieties.The results of the comprehensive evaluation of cooking and eating quality were classified into three grades:first,second and third.Screening method of high efficiency varieties:according to the cluster analysis results of nitrogen partial factor productivity and effective accumulated temperature yield,different types of japonica rice varieties are divided into two types:high efficiency and low efficiency.According to the evaluation results of high quality screening and high efficiency screening,the high-quality and high-efficiency japonica rice varieties were screnned.Evaluation index system of high-quality and high-efficiency japonica rice varieties in Huaibei:the milled rice rate of high-quality and high-efficiency medium maturing medium non-soft rice varieties is ranged from 62.52%to 665.50%,CD is ranged from 1.93 to 2.43,amylose content is ranged from 16.15%to 18.27%,gel consistency is ranged from 68 mm to 85 mm,setback value is ranged from 18 cP to 301 cP,consistence value is ranged from 972 cP to 1168 cP,the comprehensive score of cooking and eating quality is ranged from 58 to 62,the actual yield is ranged from 9.81 t·hm-2to 10.04 t·hm-2,the nitrogen partial factor productivity is ranged from 36.33 kg/kg-37.18 kg/kg,and the effective accumulated temperature yield is ranged from 4.36 kg/? to 4.79 kg/?;the milled rice rate of high-quality and high-efficiency medium maturing medium soft rice varieties is ranged from 61.87%to 66.38%,CD is ranged from 3.39 to 41.74,amylose content is ranged from 8.04%to 11.53%,gel consistency is ranged from 80 mm to 99 mm,setback value is ranged from-1201 cP to-86 cP,consistence value is ranged from 388 cP to 955 cP,the comprehensive score of cooking and eating quality is ranged from 67 to 76,the actual yield is ranged from 9.17 t·hm-2 to 10.66 t·hm-2,the nitrogen partial factor productivity is ranged from 33.95 kg/kg?39.48 kg/kg,and the effective accumulated temperature yield is ranged from 4.48 kg/? to 5.09 kg/?;the milled rice rate of high-quality and high-efficiency late maturing medium non-soft rice varieties is ranged from 61.33%to 65.47%,CD is ranged from 1.26 to 3.51,amylose content is ranged from 16.04%to 20.06%,gel consistency is ranged from 63 mm to 67 mm,setback value is ranged from 57 cP to 327 cP,consistence value is ranged from 542 cP to 1126 cP,the comprehensive score of cooking and eating quality is ranged from 56 to 61,the actual yield is ranged from 9.09 t·hm-2to 10.24 t·hm-2,the nitrogen partial factor productivity is ranged from 33.65 kg/kg-37.93 kg/kg,and the effective accumulated temperature yield is ranged from 4.40 kg/? to 4.73 kg/?;the milled rice rate of high-quality and high-efficiency late maturing medium soft rice varieties is ranged from 62.26%to 66.32%,CD is ranged from 3.01 to 13.59,amylose content is ranged from 8.83%to 10.30%,gel consistency is ranged from 86 mm to 94 mm,setback value is ranged from-613 cP to-355 cP,consistence value is ranged from 315 cP to 629 cP,the comprehensive score of cooking and eating quality is ranged from 69 to 75,the actual yield is ranged from 9.72 t·hm-2 to 10.72 t·hm-2,the nitrogen partial factor productivity is ranged from 35.99 kg/kg?39.71 kg/kg,and the effective accumulated temperature yield is ranged from 4.42 kg/? to 4.96 kg/?.3.Nine high-quality and high-efficiency medium maturing medium soft rice varieties were screened out in Huai'an:Nanfan 1609,Xudao 9,Nanjing 5718,Changruan 07-1,Huxiangjing 165,Huzaoruanjing,Nanjing 2728,Nanjing 505 and Zaoyou 1;two high-quality and high-efficiency late maturing medium non-soft rice variety:Lian jing 13 and Xunong 33202;three high-quality and high-efficiency medium maturing medium soft rice varieties:Nanjing 9108,Wuyun 5051 and Nanfan 1610.Two high-quality and high-efficient medium maturing medium non-soft rice varieties were screened in Suqian:Xindao22 and Xudao 10;seven medium maturing medium soft rice varieties:Huzaoruanjing,Huzaoxiangruan 2,Nanjing2728,Nanjing 5718,Changruan 07-1,Xudao 9 and Zaoyoul;two late maturing medium non-soft rice varieties:Lianjing 13 and Xunong 33202;three late maturing medium soft rice varieties:Nanjing9108,Yangjing 239 and Wuyuan 5051.Two high-quality and high-efficient medium maturity non-soft rice varieties were screened in Huanghai:Shengxiang 66 and Xudao 10;four medium maturing medium soft rice varieties:JD 6614,Nanjing 5718,Huzaoruanjing and Zaoyou 1;one late maturing medium non-soft rice varieties:Lianjing 13;one high-quality and high-efficiency late maturing medium soft rice varieties:Nanjing 9108.Thirteen high-quality and high-efficiency medium maturing medium soft rice varieties were screnned out in Donghai:Huxiangjing 165,Huzaoruanjing,Nanjing 2728,Nanjing 505,Nanjing 5711,Nanjing 5718,Zaoyou 1,Changruan 07-1,Huzaoxiang 181,Huzaoxiangruan 2,Nanfan 1609,Suxiangjing 3 and Xudao 9;two high-quality and high-efficiency late maturing medium non-soft rice varieties:Sidao 14-211 and Xunong 33202;one high-quality and high-efficiency late maturing medium soft japonica rice variety:Nanjing 9108.4.Compared with late maturing medium japonica rice varieties,medium maturing medium japonica rice varieties are more more suitable for planting in Huaibei region.And the medium maturing medium japonica rice varieties should be treated as the main varieties in developing of high-quality and high-efficiency rice industry in Huaibei region,especially medium maturing medium soft rice varieties.
