BckgroundsChronic heart failure is the main complication and final stage of all kinds of organic cardiopathy with different etiology, the combination of central sleep apnea is of high rate and indicates poor prognosis, there were few domestic reports about the correlations of chronic heart failure combined with Cheyne-Stokes respiration.ObjectiveThere were three parts in this study. (1) Caculate the incidence of chronic heart failure combined with Cheyne-Stokes respiration among the slected cases; (2) Study the related risk factors of chronic heart failure combined with Cheyne-Stokes respiration, analysis the correlation of left ventricular ejaction fraction and the characteristic parameters of Cheyne-Stokes respiration; (3) Discuss whether chronic heart failure combined with Cheyne-Stokes respiration has a genetic predisposition.MethodsThis was a case-control study, select the patients with chronic heart failure hospitalized in Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University from April to October,2014. All patients applied portable sleep monitoring system, ApneaLink Plus, from RESMED for monitoring. According to the results we devided all the patients into two groups, simple chronic heart failure group (not combined with Cheyne-Stokes respiration) and chronic heart failure combined with Cheyne-Stokes respiration group. (1) Calculate the incidence of chronic heart failure combined with Cheyne-Stokes respiration;(2) Study the related risk factors of chronic heart failure combined with Cheyne-Stokes respiration, analysis the correlation of left ventricular ejaction fraction and the characteristic parameters of Cheyne-Stokes respiration, like cycle length, apnea length and ventilation length; (3) Collect the blood sample of the patients from the two groups respectively, analysis SNP genotypes to explore the occurrence of chronic heart failure combined with Cheyne-Stokes respiration whether has a genetic predisposition.Ressluts(1) In 109 selected patients the incidence chronic heart failure combined with Cheyne-Stokes respiration was 35.8%.(2) age, gender, BMI and waist between the two groups was with no statistical difference (P>0.05), but the incidence of atrial fibrillation and dilated cardiomyopathy was statistically difference between the two groups, chronic heart failure combined with Cheyne-Stokes respiration group was much higher than simple heart failure group. (3) In the chronic heart failure combined with Cheyne-Stokes respiration group left entricular ejection fraction was negatively correlated with Cheyne-Stokes respiration indicator, cycle length.(4) SNP loci classification statistical differences between the two groups.ConclusionsIn this study the incidence of chronic heart failure combined with Cheyne-Stokes respiration is 35.8%. The related risk factors of Chronic heart failure combined with Cheyne-Stokes respiration includes low carbonate, dilated cardiomyopathy, atrial fibrillation, etc. Chronic heart failure combined with Cheyne-Stokes respiration may have a genetic predisposition.
