This artcle researches on the relationship between poetry,prose and Daoism which includes philosophical Daoism and religious Daoism.This article includes three parts: introduction,main text and conclusion.The introduction reviews the research status,analyses the achievement and inadequate,and accounts for the main content,methods and innovation of this article.The main text is divided into seven chapters:Chapter One expounds the total situation of the relationship between poetry,prose and Daoism in Southern Song Dynasty.First,summarize the condition that the intellectuals annotate and comment on Chuang-tzu and Laozi and the development of Daoism in Southern Song Dynasty.Second,it fully researches on the mutual effect of the classical literature and Daoism in Southern Song Dynasty.Daoism impacts on the writers' outlook on life,values and aesthetic orientation.Meanwhile,the writers absorbs in its philosophy and enhance its social position.Chapter Two discusses the writers' life of leisure,health maintenance and imaginary Taoist wonderland.Official redundancy and party struggle led the patriot to out of work,such as Lu You,Xin Qi-ji,Fan Cheng-da,Yang Wan-li and You Mao and so on.Because of Daoisminfluence,they became broad-minded,and had Daoist practices.The style of their literature is influenced by Daoist aesthetic ideas,such as worship of nature.Chapter Three analyses Si-ling poetry school's poems.Si-ling lived in Yong-jia which was in Daoist atmosphere.Their poems relates to Daoist culture,such as thunder amulet,inner alchemy,Jingming Dao and their Daoist practices.Although they were poor,they pursue the ideal state of inner peace.The style of their poems is natural and insipid.Chapter Four investigates the poems and proses of Jianghu-Scholer.These writers are related to Daoism.Some of them call themselves Daoist who were civilians,such as Jiang Kui and Liu Guo.Wu Wen-ying expresses confused and disappointed by using the literaty image in his Ci-poets such as fairies,wonderland and fairy stories.Le Lei-fa and Zhao Ru-sui are good at heart cultivation who keep a tranquil and clear mind.Liu Ke-zhuang links Daoism inner alchemy with theory of literature.Chapter Five focuses on the survivor's literary works in Southern Song Dynasty.Some of the survivors became Daoists,and others believed in Daoism religion.They cannot help but sorrow for a state perish.Zheng Si-xiao and Deng Mu want to build an ideal society and criticize the reality.Liu Chen-weng annotated the works of Laozi and Zhuangzi,absorbed Daoism philosophy and fused these into his view of life,values and the style of his poems and proses.Chapter Six expounds the relationship between Confucianism and Daoism.The Confucianists inherit critically Daoism philosophy and mix Confucianism and Daoism into their literature works.Daoism aesthetic standards help them to avoid vanpidity,such as Zhu Xi's free,Lin Xi-yi's variational and Lou Yue's fairy fantasy.Besides,Zhen De-xiu and Wei Liao-weng wrote a lot of Qing-ci proses which contain their patriotic feelings.Chapter Seven investigates Daoist literary theme and artistic feature.Some of them have literary self-consciousness and regard poems and proses as thought and feeling carrier.Bai Yu-chan attached importance to selection of the best words and compared literary writing with Daoist practice.They are patriotic although leaving the politics far away,and their poems and proses have thought of saving the world,loving nature and beyond the world.The artistic pursuit of their literary creation is transcendency,purity,elegance and implicitness.
