The development and inheritance of traditional Chinese traditional theater art is an important topic in current Xiqu studies.This article takes the inheritance and development of Hong Kong Cantonese opera as the main line,insists on using the correct historical materialism as a guide,learns and applies research methods such as art anthropology,drama studies,history,sociology and other disciplines,and pays attention to comprehensive application through collecting,combating and researching the historical data of official documents,monographs and oral materials of artists,newspapers,magazines,and inspections and interviews,systematically collate the context of the development of Cantonese opera in each period in the context of the “Schools”,and the interaction among them.The article focuses on the significance and connection of external and internal factors of the “Schools” in artistic transmission,and seeks to reveal the inherent procedures of the inheritance and development of traditional theater in the process of exploring the construction of the “Schools” of Cantonese opera in Hong Kong.This continuous artistic approach has an important value to cultural accumulation and popular culture sharing in Hong Kong,it also reflects how Cantonese Opera developed its branch in Hong Kong,is of great significance for the development of Chinese traditional theater.The full text is divided into four parts,the first chapter is traceable of history and development.Chapter Two discusses the origin of Hong Kong's Cantonese opera “Schools”,and studies the importance of the "Five Major Schools" and other Cantonese opera artists' role in the development of the “Schools”.Chapter Three analyzes the influence of Chinese and Western cultural and cultural policies on the artistic style and art system of Hong Kong's Cantonese opera.Chapter Four reviews the art heritage of the second and third generation inheritors of Cantonese opera in Hong Kong,and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of each generation in order to look forward to the future development of Hong Kong Cantonese opera art.
