With contemporary cultural consciousness, this article is to inquire into the literature images and the narrative paradigm of Hong Kong novels in recent 20 years in which the methods of aesthetics and narratologic are used widely.In 1980 and 1990,Hong Kong was in the period of economic transformation and of political transition. under this backgmund, Hong Kong?s novels also assumed a new pattern, expressing a striking modern city?s character and a stn~ng native country?s consciousness. The ioom and living stnicture in modem city had a deep affect upon people?s aesthetic conception and expression. especially, because of living in a context of postmodemism?s commercial culture and feeling the atmosphere of colonialism. postcolonia]ism. Hong Kong?s writers had changed a lot in their narrative paradigm. Consequently, fmm the range of subjects to cultural consciousness, Hong Kong?s novels of recent 20 years had taken on a new looks. Thus, in order to clarify it the article consists in three parts: 1. Inspect the time?s characteristic of Hong Kong?s novels, its position in history. present situation of writing and research. Besides, make people understood the composition of Hong Kong?s writers. 2. Analyse the ways of elling stories?of Hong Kong?s writers and recongnize the naimtive paradigm of Hong Kong?s novels, its development.3 . Inquire into he image of Hong Kong?and reveal its cultnial content, social historic experience.
