Since Duchamp,the boundaries of art seem to be blurring,as are the sculptures,which makes Hegel's judgment of the end of history tremendously responsive in the art world;on the other hand.McLuhan's "media is information "Technological determinism in turn leads the future of art to specialization and technology.The prophecy of the former leads the development of sculptures to "ideas." while the latter emphasizes the need for a strong "technicality" in the development of the arts.Concepts and techniques appear to be the relations between the extensions and connotations of the sculptural ontological meanings.However.This paper argues that there is a change in the relationship between sculpture and human beings.This article from the technical point of view to sort out the history of the development of sculpture,and the relationship between technology and sculpture as the key to study the value of the sculpture and the meaning of the key to discuss.in an attempt to find a way to rebuild the positive relationship between sculpture and people.This paper argues that in this process.sculpture is precisely because of its technical,continuous segmentation,specialization to get rid of the status of general technical categories.has become a professional means of performance of the spirit,access to the status of art;the absolute spirit The pursuit of the sculpture is to gradually abandon the technical barriers to make the sculpture toward the concept of the subject of the sculpture become weaker In order to complete this relationship,according to Lewis Mumford's theory of the development of technology history-the first generation,the Paleozoic and the newborn From the sculpture's original era as a starting point,starting from the relationship between the same origin of sculpture and technology,fully integrating the information of the history of technology and the history of the development of sculpture technology,we gradually clarify the relationship between sculpture and technology and From this we can see that this provides the possibility of exceeding Hegel's judgment that "the absolute spirit is limitless and the perceptual image is limited",and poses many new ethical problems for the development of sculptures.This article also holds that the technicality of the sculpture is also reflected in its inherent stipulation and can be summarized into four dimensions:form,space,volume and image.These four dimensions are accumulated in the process of the development of the sculpture.Through combing the history of its development,it is possible to construct a sculpture evaluation system different from painting.In the end,this article considers how to rebuild the positive relationship between man and art,and the technicality of sculpture will be the final exit.
