Research On The Artistic Features Of Chinese Kung Fu In Animation Works

The Chinese Kung Fu in the animation works is a kind of animation performance form which is based on the Chinese martial arts culture and has national characteristics.The martial arts spirit conveyed in the works is an important part of the spirit of national culture with Chinese characteristics and also the rigid side of Chinese culture.The performance and persistence of Kung Fu elements and swordsmen spirit in Chinese animation is the wholehearted approval and active practice of the confidence in Chinese national culture.It inherits and develops the classical artistic expression in the swordsmen literary works,the opera military plays and the movies involving real persons performing martial arts;and it plays an extremely important role in the history of the development of Chinese animation.Chinese animation was once famous all over the world for its nationalized style.Four lengthy motion pictures produced and presented by Shanghai Film Studio Co.,Ltd: "Monkey King Makes Havoc in Heaven","Nezha Conquers the Dragon King",""Monkey King Conquers the Demon",and "Legend of a Book from Heaven" all demonstrate the Chinese Kung Fu elements in a typical manner.In recent years,the success of "Kung Fu Panda" and"Monkey King Hero Is Back" among many other domestic and foreign excellent animation films,to a large extent,has a close relationship with the reconstruction and innovative expression of Chinese Kung Fu and martial arts spirit.This is also the concrete manifestations of the considerable international impact,commercial vale and cultural charm of Chinese swordsmen culture.It is regrettable that although it has been fully explored and used in practical creation,the attention from the animation theory circle is far from enough,if not at all.This paper attempts to draw lessons from the more well-developed theoretical framework of martial arts movies to construct a theoretical system of Kung Fu performance with animation characteristics: starting with phenomenon analysis,then this paper clarifies the relevant historical and cultural context,which is followed by the analysis of the methodology and formal characteristics of artistic expression,and later it discusses the connotations of cultural spirit.Further refinement of the forms,contents and cultural connotations of Chinese Kung Fu and martial arts spirit is done.The author examines the historical and cultural context of the artistic expression of "Kung Fu" elements in animation,and then expatiates on the combination of the elements of "Kung Fu" and animation performance.Then the writer analyzes the form and artistic features of "Chinese kung fu" in animation and discusses the performance characteristics and humanistic value of martial arts spirit in modern animation.
