Fang Dongmei is a philosopher rich in books and has a great influence.During his life,he devoted himself to rejuvenating traditional Chinese culture.At the same time,he also had unique insights into Western philosophy.He explored the traditional Confucian Taoist and even Buddhist philosophy and did not ignore the “modern transformation” that modern Neo-Confucian scholars emphasized.This makes Fang's thoughts seem compatible with each other and does not rigidly adhere to the unique characteristics and methods of interpretation of the Confucian system.Compared with other scholars,Fang Dongmei pays more attention to the application of artistic methods to philosophical wisdom,and the philosophical artistry is also an eclectic one."Life" is the core concept of Fang Dongmei's philosophical thinking.Although Liang Shuming,Xiong Shili,Mou Zongsan,Tang Junyi,Xu Fuguan and others have all explored in the field of life philosophy,they are not similar to Fang Dongmei in that they communicated tradition and modernity.Coherent in China and the West,comprehensively transcending the relationship between the universe and life,and truly making "life" the starting point and ultimate destination of its philosophy.In order to establish the core of the philosophy of life,Fang Dongmei will profit from the Nietzsche theory of life,Bergson's philosophy of life,Whitehead's philosophy of philosophy,and other Western philosophy of life such as Goethe,and will make a profit in China.The value orientation of life in the original works Shangshu,Zhouyi and Hua Yanzong was exchanged.Finally,the metaphysical ontology of "universal life" was put forward.The "life and virtue" contained in the Zhouyi philosophy enriches its life ontology,on the other hand,it integrates the value theory contained therein with the value theory contained in Chinese philosophy and expands this life philosophy system.Later,after establishing the study path of metaphysics and the tone of "universal life," Fang Dongmei began to construct the theoretical framework of the life ontology: First,through the discussion of "reasonable group",the ontological status of "universal life" was established.Secondly,from the five essences to the life and virtue,we explore the inherent nature and system of universal life,as well as the functioning course that life and nature have shown.Thridly,the intrinsic transcendence of this kind of life is different in the various schools of traditional Chinese philosophy.Chinese cosmology and ontology are inseparable.Westerners are accustomed to logically distinguish between ontology and cosmology.On the contrary,China has traditionally been based on the concept of " Heaven and Man Are United as One,The Syncretism of Essence and Appearance”.In Fang Dongmei's view,the relationship between ontology and cosmology is to pursue the world's originality from the standpoint of cosmogenesis,and from the perspective of ontology,to establish the original primitive as the highest ontology.Based on this,he compared the cosmology of the Western scientific planes,the Greek deconstructed cosmology,and the Western “psycho-philosophy” cosmology,and then put forward the cosmology of “all things contain life” of Chinese philosophy,that is,the Chinese universe is space and time.The original conference is fundamentally the integration of material conditions and spiritual phenomena.Its characteristics are threefold: First,the universe is a prevailing environment for universal life;Second,the universe is a system that rushes into neutrality and has endless functions.Third,the universe is full of morality and artistic value.As the existence of ontology,"universal life" flows from the universe to individuals,Therefore,in the analysis of human nature,Fang Dongmei established a humanist approach,that is,through the creation of life and access to philosophy.In turn,he compared the "human" in Chinese philosophy with the Western point of view of depreciating or uplifting humanity,the superb relationship between heaven and humanity in Greece,and the dichotomy between Western and Western people.Afterwards,he also discussed the issue of alienation of people in the West by explaining the role of people in philosophy,religion,and human nature.Based on this,Fang Dongmei has drawn the concept of human nature that is unique to Chinese philosophy and established: “Straightening Method” that runs through various psychological functions.It is explained by the mind of the Chinese traditional philosophy,and it is based on the mind of all things.In the heart,the pure nature of human hearts was introduced.Since the heart of heaven and earth is the origin of life,then the Chinese must inevitably invest small lives in the generalization of the epidemic,and flow in harmony with the life of the universe.Therefore,Fang also explored the cognition of the relationship between heaven and humans by different schools of thought.On the basis of this human relationship,we can see that the essence of Fang's theory of human nature lies in the “superiority of personality.” He believes that life must match the ideal world and develop ideal personality from the knowledge of human reality.Therefore,Confucianism,Taoism,and Buddhism have a Pursue the "commonness" of individual lofty character.All of the realm of life can be promoted because there is a hierarchy.Therefore,Fang Dongmei distinguishes two "precincts" of "life" : "natural world under the shape" and "supernatural realm in shape",and proposes "Six Realms".At the same time,Fang's personality promotion does not increase in a straight-line manner,but it also has both the "superior upward-spirited spirit" and the "subsequent realization approach." This upward-downward spirit is found in Confucianism,Taoism,and Buddhism.There are different manifestations.In the theory of ultra-personality rise,although the "value orientation" chooses the greatness of the people,the common pursuit of the three is a triple compound personality of sages,prophets,and poets.Finally,since the theory of human nature is based on humanism,emphasizing the status and value of human beings,then Fang's theory of ultra-personality can also be included in the sense of the times.It has a guiding role in solving problems such as "the lack of value" and "the decline of Chinese philosophy in the modern era."Finally,Fang believes that any doctrine is a symbol represented by the spirit of life.Therefore,whether it is the cultural philosophy of "symbol of life spirit" or the religious philosophy of "the highest value of life spirit" or the aesthetic of "life desire" and even " The political philosophy of fulfilling the purpose of life is closely related to the philosophy of life.
