Chuanzhang site is located in Ordos City,Inner Mongolia Zhungeer county Narisong town. From the geographical point of view, the area at the Ordos Plateau, the eastern part of the Hetao area, nearby the Yellow River,is a central plain and nomadic ethnic exchange,an important core area of cultural integration. As early as the Neolithic period, there were traces of the coexistence between the migration of the Central Plains and the Aboriginal the Yellow River valleys and the coexistence of local indigenous peoples.By the time of the Warring States period, with the increasing prominence of geographical location and natural conditions, the region became a must Battleground. The history and culture of this region have a pivotal position throughout the history of China.Archaeological sites in the region are more abundant, and the archeology and culture are more complicated. The research on human bone materials is also relatively weak.so,the research of physical anthropology on the bones excavated from the Chuanzhang site not only added the human bone material in this area, but also filled the vacancy of the human bone material during this period. In order to explore the physical characteristics, ethnic composition and living conditions of the population in this area,,Business model, population migration, etc.to provide reference materials. In this dissertation, the ancient inhabitants of Chuanzhang Site are mainly studied in physical anthropology from the terms of gender, age, height, pathological conditions and s skull formation.Based on the results of the study, the comparative study on the human bone materials of ancient people in different periods in Hetao area is carried out to discuss the germplasm origin of the ancient inhabitants in the Chuanzhang site and give valuable reference data for comprehensive understanding of the ethnographic changes in Hetao area. The full text of a total of eight chapters.Chapter 1 IntroductionIn this chapter mainly introduces the general situation, natural geographical location and historical background of Chuanzhang Site, and explains the research purpose and the related issues.Chapter 2 Chuanzhang site ancient inhabitants of gender and age identification and demographic studiesAccording to the identification of sex and age,the comparative analysis of the sex ratio and age distribution of the ancient inhabitants in Chuanzhang site was made, and the average age of death and the average life expectancy of the residents were calculated.Chapter 3 Study on Height of ancient inhabitants in Chuanzhang SiteThrough the comparison and analysis of the measured data and indexes of the limbs of the ancient inhabitants in the Chuanzhang site,we can know the development of the bones in the left and right sides, the gender of the men and the women and the development of the upper and lower extremity bones. The results show that except the lower limbs are slightly thicker than the upper limbs and other obvious differences. The height of the male was slightly higher than that of the female according to the measurement data of the limbs.Compared with the ancient inhabitants in the north, the average height of the men tended to be medium.Chapter 4 Study on PaleopathologyOral health conditions, traumatic conditions, skeletal diseases of the ancient inhabitants of Chuanzhang were observed and described in detail.Statistical analyzes of common diseases were carried out.Chapter 5 Non-measurement of skull of ancient inhabitants in Chuanzhang SiteAccording to the observation and study of non-measured skull characteristics,we can see that the ancient inhabitants of the Chuanzhang site were more consistent in non-measured morphological characteristics and showed obvious Mongoloid ethnic characteristics. In the comparison of the morphological features of non-continuous skull, the relationship with East Asian types of modern Asian Mongol ethnic groups is the closest.Chapter 6 Study on the Measurement Properties of the Skull of Ancient Residents in Chuanzhang SiteAccording to the observational study of morphological characteristics of skull measurement, the morphological characteristics of the craniofacial region were found to be more consistent between men and women.According to the purity tests of the human bones unearthed from different sites and the germ line purity of both sexes, the ancient inhabitants,However, the individual heterogeneity can not be neglected. The distance between the Chuanzhang group and the modern East Asia Mongoloid East Asian type morphology is relatively consistent with that of the Fushun and North China groups representing the East Asian Mongoloid population. However,The comparison group of Asian Mongol ethnic groups is far from the morphological distance.Chapter 7 Comparison of Ancient People and Relevant Crowds at Chuanzhang SiteThrough the comparative study of the ancient inhabitants of Chuanzhang ruins with the ancient contrasting groups of different periods, different regions and different physique characteristics,we can see that the Chuanzhang Formation has very similar physique characteristics with the Zhukaigou of "ancient North China type" For the descendants of Zhukaigou group, but also with the residents of the "ancient Central Plains type",such as the shop group in morphological distance is also more similar;and Chuanzhang group flow, the later mixed trait groups, such as satisfied The Nalintaohai group,Xiheidai group, and Gugu'an group provide the genetic basis.Chapter 8 ConclusionIt makes a summarized discussion about the whole chapters.
