Munch repeatedly emphasized that his works was the pages of diary,and all his works were confessions of his life.Looking at Munch’s work,we can easily find that Munch intended the entire narrative to have a classical unity.Based on personal experience and individual memories,he attempted to build an image of truth.He tried from self-examination to dissects what is universal in the soul.Munch painted and repainted the emotions of life in his works.By presenting the "individual history" to the audience,the works reach the extension of time and space.Emotion promotes language,and language provides us with access to the author’s thought itself,which connects us spiritually with the author.Munch processed individual memories through language and constituted a personal life history.The personal life history is fleeting,and the eternal corresponding to it should be the interrelationship between the history,tradition and culture of the group.Munch painted the same images and themes repeatedly.Through repeated narratives,the images in these paintings gained their form and structure,and individual memories were consolidated and supplemented.In the field of Western contemporary art,many artists have expressed interest in Munch’s works and reflect his artistic image with Munch.For these artists,Munch’s work is not only an image,but also a trace,an individual memory they hold.We asked how Munch to enter their work,and how they inspired by Munch’s works and working methods,we found that this is a continuous process from "memory" to "image",and it is a process of projection.In their own contexts,these artists constructed the mirrored image of Munch they imagined and needed,and had been re-shaping the self in the process of watching Munch.As a creator,we understand and explain the value of memories in Munch’s works,and sort out some artists who are closely related to Munch.The purpose is to clarify Munch’s relationship with the world and complete the mirrored image of Munch.For the rest of his life,Munch was thinking and exploring how to make the audience pursue the truth,which is a good reference for our practical work.
