Research On Informative Speech Communication

Starting from the practical experience of informative speech communication,this paper systematically illustrates the realization process of informative speech communication intention.The specific process is as follows: with the realization of informative communication intention as the core,the informant follows the relevance principle and the adaptation principle in a certain mode of informative communication intention realization and selects a certain discourse form to inform the realization structure or realization condition of communication intention by identifier,thereby activating the realization diagram of informative communication intention stored in the human brain,converting the internal psychological communication intention into a linear external discourse form to be conveyed to the informed,and finally completing the informative speech communication and satisfying certain needs of the informant.From the overall perspective,this paper interprets the realization process of informative communication intention in a coherent way,implements the speech act theory of “doing things with words” in the process,and establishes the dynamic transformation pattern diagram of informant “informative communication intention?realization principle?realization condition?realization approach] ? discourse form.With Austin & Searle's speech act theory as the basic theoretical basis,combined with Grice's conversational implicature theory and D.Sperber&D.Wilson's relevance theory,this paper mainly analyzes the process how the informant conveys the internal psychological informative communication intention to the informed in the external discourse form from the perspective of pragmatics and cognition and how the informed understands and analyzes the actual communication intention from the linear external discourse form.The paper consists of seven chapters and a conclusion.In Chapter I,the research object,research value,research content,research method and research significance are first confirmed.Based on the analysis of a large number of natural corpuses,firstly,the informative speech communication is explained from the perspective of speech communication experience,and the research scope and specific research objects of this paper are defined.The theoretical significance and practical significance of the research on the informative speech act is summarized through the analysis of the main research questions in this paper.The so-called informative speech communication is to put the specific informative speech acts in a specific context taking into account the subjective cognitive factors and contextual factors of the informant and the informed and describing the overall dynamic process of actual speech communication.Informative speech communication is not a static description of the informative speech act from the discourse form,but a process of abstraction and generalization of the process of informative speech communication from the perspective of dynamic pragmatic cognition.In Chapter II,related theories at home and abroad are summarized,of which,foreign related theories mainly include Austin& Searle's speech act theory,Grice's conversational implicature theory,D.Sperber&D.Wilson's relevance theory,Wierzbicka's research on English speech act verbs,and Direven&Verspoor's elaboration of speech act classification.The domestic research on the informative speech communication mainly includes three aspects: the research on sentence class,the research on informative action verbs and the research on speech act.Through the analysis of relevant theories at home and abroad,the starting point and direction of this research are defined.In Chapter III,the meaning and nature of informative speech act are elaborated in detail,and the composition of informative speech act is specifically analyzed.Firstly,three levels of informative speech act are defined: The first level refers to the generalized speech act with the informative meaning,including predicative sentence and action sentence.The second level refers to one of the main branches in assertive speech act in Searle's speech act classification.The third level refers to informative speech communication.Through classification,the informative speech act is strictly defined,and the nature of informative speech act is further analyzed.Through the analysis of the informative communication mode,the four elements that constitute the informative speech communication and the relationship between the elements are discussed.In Chapter IV,informative speech act is divided into marked informative speech act and unmarked informative speech act.By analyzing the informative verbs and the informative speech acts,it is concluded that the informative verbs can be used as a condition of informative speech act markers.By abstracting the realization structure of the informative communication intention,and based on the realization structure of the informative communication intention,the type of marked informative speech act is divided.For the unmarked informative speech act,the unmarked informative speech act is further divided into the lower category by the nature and characteristics of the intention to be conveyed by the informant.In Chapter V,the two types of informative speech communication are first distinguished according to the nature of informative communication intention,namely,active informative speech communication and passive informative speech communication,and the realization condition of the two types of informative speech communication is discussed.The necessary and sufficient condition for the realization of the informative communication intention refers to the necessary precondition to describe the realization process of informative communication intention.Among the passive informative speech communication,the realization condition of the communication intention is as follows: L?TXC1: the realization condition of the informant's obligation;L?TXC2: the realization condition of the informant's intention;L?TXC3: the realization condition of the informant's capacities.In the passive informative speech communication,the realization conditions for communication intention are as follows: TXC1: the condition for the informant's responsibility and obligation;TXC2: the condition for the informant's communication demands;T?LC1: the condition for the informant's demands;T?LC2: the condition for the informant's intention;M? the informative contents are worthwhile.These conditions,as a whole diagram,constitute the realization diagram of informative communication intention together with the realization structure of informative communication intention,which are stored in human memory for a long time.In Chapter VI,we first assume that when a discourse form can identify the realization structure of communicative intention or identify the realization conditions of a communicative intention,all relevant conditions that realize the informative communication intention can be activated,thereby activating the overall realization diagram of informative communication intention and finally realizing the informative communication intention.Then,through the analysis of the passive informative speech communication and active informative speech communication process,the realization mechanism of the informative speech communication is obtained: the mechanism of “communicative subject?cognition?identification?activation”,establishing the connection between the discourse form and the realization diagram of informative communication intention,thereby realizing the informative communication intention.The realization process of the informative speech communication is summarized as follows: the informant follows a certain principle in a certain informative communication mode,selects a certain discourse form to identify the realization structure or realization conditions of informative communication intention,namely,activating the realization diagram of informative communication intention stored in human brain and finally realizing the informative communication intention by selecting different realization approaches.In Chapter VII,the discourse form of active informative speech communication and the discourse form of passive informative speech communication are discussed respectively,including the structure of discourse form,the conditions for the discourse form to enter informative speech communication as the carrier of communicative intention,and the semantic features of the discourse form.The process of selecting a certain discourse form is a process of symbolizing communicative intention in the informative speech communication.The discourse form is the result that the informant finally symbolizes the communicative intention through the subjective cognition and summarization of multiple factors.Therefore,analysis and summarization of the informative discourse form is of both theoretical and practical significance.In Chapter VIII,the full text is summarized and the inadequacies of this paper are pointed out.
