Study On The Syntactic Function And Syntactic Hierarchy Of The Functional Category In Uyghur

The Uyghur functional category included the so-called the morphological forms,function words in Traditional grammar and Structural grammar and also included the auxiliary verbs(virtual verbs).The morphological forms refers to the plural,possess-possessee and case of the Nouns,Verb voices,aspects,negatives,substantive,tens,mood,force-personect.The function words refer to the postposition,conjunction,aspect auxiliary verb and modal words ect.The morphological forms and function words were regard as?X category of the Noun?and?Y category of the Verb?in the Traditional grammar and Structural grammar.The morphological forms and function words have just analyzed on the Lexical field,these consider as just attach a suffix to the single noun and verb,but they adhesive to the hole noun phrase and verb phrase,so the syntactic function of morphological forms and function words was ignored in previous research work under the Traditional grammar and Structural grammar theory.The syntactic function of morphological forms and function words,which can only be explained as lexical phenomenon,but these have no lexical meaning actually,so originally belongs to the syntactic phenomenon analyzed on the lexical level was led to the some language problem could not be able to completely explain syntactic hierarchy of the phrase and sentence,which mostly the ambiguity phrase and ambiguity sentence structers in Uyghur.So we use the Generative grammar theory in this Thesis,studies on the morphological forms and function words such as the plural,possess-possessee and case of the Nouns,Verb voices,aspects,negatives,substantive(adjectivalizar,nominalizer,adverbializer),tens,mood,person,the postposition,conjunction,aspect auxiliary verb and modal words syntactic function and syntactic hierarchical relationships,in order to will be clearly explain the complicated structure in Uyghur,such as ambiguity phrase and ambiguity sentences.This Thesis is divided into five chapters:The first chapter is the Introduction.In this chapter,at first introduce the purpose,significance and research methods of the thesis.And then I shall explain the definition and classification of the Uyghur functional category.In the end of this chapter I shall expound the research overview of Uyghur syntax method in the Traditional grammar,Structural grammar and Generative grammar.Chapter two is a study on the syntactic function and syntactic hierarchy of the adhesive functional category which are combined with the nominal phrase in Uygur.In this chapter,at first I shall explain the adhesive functional category and nominal phrase in Uygur.The adhesive functional category which are combined with the nominal phrase are plural,possessive-possessee and case of the noun.The nominal phrase are refers to the noun,adjective,adverb,pronoun,numeral,quantifier,mock word,nominalizer,adjictivalizer,adverbializer ect.And then I shall illustrate the syntactic function and syntactic hierarchy of the plural,possessive-possessee and case of the noun,which not only affixed to the single word of the noun phrase,but also can be affixed to the whole noun phrase or sentence.The plural,possessive-possessee and case of the noun are core of the phrase and sentences on the syntactic tructure,so these can make owns phrase,such as plural phrase,possessive-possessee phrase and case phrase.Study on the syntactic hierarchy of the plural phrase,possessive-possessee phrase and case phrase,I shall offer to scientific explanation method of the ambiguity phrase and ambiguity sentences in Uyghur.Chapter three is a study on the syntactic function and syntactic hierarchy of the adhesive functional category which are combined with the verb and verbal phrase in Uygur.In this chapter,at first I shall explain the adhesive functional category and verbal phrase in Uygur.The adhesive functional category which are combined with the verbal phrase are Verb voices,aspects,negatives,substantive(adjectivalizar,nominalizer,adverbializer),tens,mood,person ect.And then study on the syntactic function and syntactic hierarchy of the Verb voices,aspects,negatives,substantive(adjectivalizar,nominalizer,adverbializer),tens,mood,person,which not only affixed to the single verb stem,but also can be affixed to the whole verbal phrase or sentence.The the verb voices,aspects,negatives,substantive(adjectivalizar,nominalizer,adverbializer),tens,mood,person components are core of the phrase and sentences on the syntactic structure,so these can make owns phrase,such as light verb phrase,aspect phrase,negative phrase,adjective phrase,nominaliz phrase,adverbal phrase,tens phrase,mood phrase,force-person phrase,I shall offer to scientific explanation method of the ambiguity phrase and ambiguity sentences in Uyghur.Chapter four is a study on the syntactic function and syntactic hierarchy of the free functional category in Uygur.In this chapter,at first I shall explain the free functional category,such postposition,conjunction,aspect auxiliary verb and modal words.And then I shall analysis of the syntactic function and syntactic hierarchy of the postposition,conjunction,aspect auxiliary verb and modal words tunder the generative grammar framework to describe their significance.Chapter five is conclusion.In this chapter,conclude the syntactic function and syntactic hierarchy of the adhesive functional category and free functional category in Uygur.To sum up the innovation of this thesis,that is to obtain the sufficient and scientific interpretation of the ambiguity phrase and ambiguity sentence in Uyghur.
