The Study On Color Technology And Application Of Mural Paintings In Northern China In 4-6th Century

Mural is one of the earliest and longest-lasting forms of painting in human history.Color is the most intuitive expression and means of murals,and the most important and active visual element of murals.The color of ancient murals is not only an important part of Chinese traditional culture,but also an important material for studying Chinese traditional color culture and color theory.It records the state of social development at that time and profoundly reflects the changes in national culture,religious beliefs,science and technology,social customs,aesthetic style and color concept.The 4th-6th centuries was an important turning point in the history of Chinese murals,and it occupied an important position in the ancient Chinese mural system.During this period,the Silk Road along the northern part of China formed a complex and diverse mural color system,showing the characteristics of the times of diversity,regionality,difference and religion.The remains of murals in this period have become an indispensable artistic relic of studying the changes of Han and Tang dynasty paintings and the change of color concepts.Focusing on the theme of mural color technology,we can understand the development and evolution of Chinese mural art in the transition period,the application of materials and technology,the application of color and techniques,and the study of Chinese traditional color culture and mural color system.And the mural color protection and restoration of Linyi are of great value and significance.Therefore,this paper chooses to preserve the relatively intact tomb murals and grotto murals as the observation center.Based on a certain amount of literature and a large number of field investigations,using cultural geography,archaeological typology,statistical analysis,color map analysis and other methods,the mural location Distribution and type,color concept and color influence on murals,materials and techniques,pigment and color techniques,coloring procedures and coloringtechniques,color composition rules and styles,color structure and color variables are all systematically studied.At the same time,combined with the records of relevant pigments in ancient documents and the achievements of modern mineral exploration,and drawing lessons from the detection results of mural pigments by modern scientific instruments,the types,attributes,origin,circulation and consumption areas of the pigments used in murals are analyzed more completely,and the distribution charts of murals and mineral pigments are made.Finally,the methods and steps of constructing mural color standard are proposed.It is hoped that it can provide theoretical support and reference for mural color protection and restoration,and provide help for the construction of ancient Chinese mural color system.Of course,this paper tentatively proposes that there may be some incompleteness and shortcomings in the construction of mural color labeling.It needs to be further supplemented and improved in the future.It is hoped that the academic circles will attach importance to the study of ancient mural color and find new methods and ways to solve the study of ancient mural color variables.
