With the further deepening of the “Belt and Road” initiative and the globalized reach of Chinese economy along the belt and road map,promotion of Chinese as the key language of communication has become an objective requirement of the Initiative.How to realize and strengthen the dynamic interaction between language promotion and economic growth has become one key choice faced by current Chinese language planning and policymaking for its international promotion.The economic globalization and deepening of international exchanges have influenced the process of international promotion of Chinese language from different aspects.Study of international promotion of Chinese from different dimensions such as politics,economics and culture is helpful to the analysis of the economic and political values and their manifestations and the exploration of its development trend.Exploring the economic motivation of the international promotion of Chinese,analyzing the current situation and international experience and further analysis of the political,economic and cultural benefit based on the value evaluation models in international language promotion and put forward practical policy innovations to promote Chinese language globally is of great theoretical and practical significance.The thesis starts with the basic concepts of language international promotion and language economics.A literature review is conducted concerning the economics study of international promotion of language at home and abroad.Further analysis of the impact of economic,political and culture factors on the international promotion of Chinese is carried out based on the summary of global experience of language promotion.Further case study of practical effect,benefits and value evaluation of Chinese language promotion in Central Asia is employed to put forward policy innovations from the aspects of clarifying language development planning,setting up development goals and objectives,implementing strategies and safeguards measures.The marginal contribution of this thesis is mainly reflected in three aspects.First,theories of political economics and language economics are employed for the analysis and evaluation of international promotion of Chinese.Further value analysis and benefits of international promotion of Chinese is conducted based on theories of language economics and typical research methods in political economics.Second,on the basis of a comparative study of English and Chinese,a value evaluation model is set up clarifying multiple influencing factors including the quantitative difference in language values,the number of language users,the comprehensive national strength,language related industries and ways of language spread and the analysis result is scientific and convincing.Third,through in-depth field interviews and surveys,first-hand information on the qualitative study of the international promotion of Chinese in Central Asia have been obtained,which has accumulated a certain amount for further research.
