Research On Construction Technology Of The Great Wall In China

In the process of construction,the Great Wall in China has spanned different topographic features.It is composed of various types of walls.According to the characteristics of wall construction,the Great Wall is divided into ten types of walls,such as rammed-earth wall,piled wall,grass wall,adobe wall,stone wall,brick wall,steep-mountainouswall and oak wall.In this paper,the construction technology of the Great Wall has been systematically studied andrestored.By means of multidisciplinary research methods such as archaeological typology,architecture,cultural anthropology and so on.On the basis of study of wall construction technology,the management system behind the Great Wall construction is studied in combination with historical philology,which makes the studysystematic in this paper.The punner is mainly used in the construction of the rammed-earth wall.In order to make a scientific study of the rammed-earth technology,this paper makes a systematic archaeological study of the rammer used in the construction of the wall and combs out the development and evolution of the rammer in past dynasties.At the same time,on the basis of a large number of investigations of rammed-earth walls,this paper attempts to summarize the main laws of changes of the rammed-earth layerin different dynasties by using sociological statistical methods,hoping to provide an auxiliary basis for judging the chronological nature that cannot be determined qualitatively.Through the systematic study of the construction technology of the Great Wall,it can be seen that in the process of the Great Wallconstruction in all ages,the principle of " selecting local materials according to local conditions" was mainly followed.The wall of the Great Wall can still majestic standing on the towering earth after thousands of years,which is closely related to the adaptation of the local natural environment.At the same time,the Great Wall as a military defense facility,military defense is the main purpose of the wall construction.Therefore,in addition to " adjusting measures to local conditions",the most suitable wall construction form for military defense should be the first choice.During the construction of the Great Wall,the application of various construction technology is a manifestation of the technical and cultural exchanges between the central plains and thenorthern nomadic peoples.The Great Wall as the carrier of the cultural integration between agricultural civilization and nomadic civilization.The diversity of wall construction technology is the best embodiment of the mutual communication between the two civilizations in the process of wall construction.
