Religion is a cultural system.Ancestor worship is a kind of folk religion.Folk religion is a treasure of moral ideas and spiritual wealth. The beliefs and ethics of ancestor worship have always been the relative stability factor in the social structure changes, which reflects the world outlook and moral orientation scattered in the culture.Ancestral worship is an important part of daily life.As one of the most populous ethnic minorities in China, ancestor worship is an indispensable part of the life of the Yi nationality. The main body of Japan, which is with China,is the Yamato people.Although the soul of God and Buddha is United, the essence is still the worship of ancestors. At present, the research on the traditional culture of the Yi peolple has a variety of perspectives, including both the observation of the "other" and the description of the "self" of the Yi nationality. In addition, there are also a considerable number of domestic and foreign comparative studies.Among them, the comparative study of the Yi and Japanese Yamato ethnic groups has also attracted attention. However, the current comparative research findings focus on similarities or homology, and less attention is paid to differences and the cultural causes behind them. This paper tries to analyze the difference of ancestor worship from a comparative perspective and its characteristics and significance.Chapter 1: An overview of ancestor worship,an overview of ancestor worship worldwide.,and the development of ancestor worship of the Yi and Yamato. The second chapter is ancestor worship and myth.Mythology provides a rational basis for the worship of the ancestors of the two peoples.Compared with the deities of the Dahe people and emphasizing the divinity, the ancestors of the Yi people had requirements for morality from the beginning of their birth. The ancestors of the Yi people were close to God rather than God.Chapter III God,Ghosts,Ancestors and Children.Through the analysis of the above concepts,it is understood that the Yamato and Yi peoples each give their own cultural significance to time and space. The integration of the ghosts of the Yamato race is obvious. The Yi people are clearly defined.Chapter IV Family and Ancestor Worship, there are essential differences in the understanding of the family, and the Yamato family is relatively open and pays attention to economic interests; The Yi people are relatively closed and pay attention to blood.Chapter 5 Ancestor worship and social control. This control is embodied in the concept of cleanliness and filthiness. In order to keep the ancestors clean,a ritual was created. The Yamato family is relatively clean, and the ceremony can remain clean; For the Yi people,in addition to the lasting worship of the ancestors and the return to the ancestral world, the ancestors also have a moral restraint effect on future enerations. The sixth chapter is about the function and modern meaning of ancestor worship. In the development of secularization, ancestor worship still has its important significance, playing the role of satisfying the individual's psychological needs, promoting the development of the family, and strengthening the cohesion of the ethnic group.Through comparison,it can be known that there are d many similarities between the concepts and behaviors of ancestor worship, and most of the similarities originate from the pursuit of infinite common heart; However, there are deep cultural ifferences between the ancestors 'qualifications and the nature of the ancestors. The two are "similar" and "different." The ancestors of the Yamato ethnic group had the inherent "God" nature, while the ancestors of the Yi nationality advocated "virtue" and had a clear moral orientation. The ancestral worship of the Yamato ethnic group was dressed in the coat of "God and Buddha Mixing",while the ancestral worship of the Yi nationality remained intact, representing the traces of the October calendar and the origin of the Yi nationality. The Yamato people emphasized the "love" of their ancestors, and the Yi people emphasized "debt" to clarify obligations and responsibilities.Ancestor worship reflects their respective survival strategies. At the same time,it is a review of the education of the concept of life and death, the strengthening of the family concept, the inheritance of ancestral beliefs, and the strengthening of ethnic cultures and historical memories.
