Research On The Influence Factor Of Evolution And Development Of Yunnan Tourism Industry

Research on tourism is a comprehensive study based on multidisciplinary perspectives.The differences among theories and methodologies determine the differences on study perspectives and results,thereby giving rise to the corresponding theoretical innovation and breakthroughs.Based on the previous numerous researches,learning from rising academic thoughts like evolutionary economics,this thesis is focused on the exploration of new academic research perspective and methodology.Tourism is an industry with the most vitality and potentiality in the world.China is already a major driver of global tourism growth.Yunnan province is one of the earlier areas where Chinese tourism industry sprouted.With the advantage of its unique tourism resources,location and first-mover,Yunnan is known as Chinese tourism industry innovator and explorer.From the early bud break to maturity,from the backbone industry to a strong tourism province,after a series of transition and development,Yunnan tourism now reflects both the universal laws of Chinese tourism industry and the distinctive characteristics of Yunnan tourism industry.In the past 30 years,Yunnan Province have been doing a large of fruitful practice in protection of tourism resources,tourism exploitation,product research,enterprises training,market development,and tourism management,etc.Leading in the way of developing new model of tourism,including national parks,tourist town,and actively engaged in international cooperation and comprehensive reform,Yunnan has made outstanding achievement in exploration and innovation,and promoted the formation of a relatively perfect system of provincial tourism industry.As a national tourism pilot and with rich experience from the exploration and innovation,Yunnan tourism industry becomes a government-led model with Yunnan characteristics,not only developing itself to be a typical case of Chinese provincial tourism,but also providing a wealth of research material and more exploration possibilities.Thus,choosing Yunnan tourism industry system as the study target,trying through the innovation of tourism research method,breaking through the static equilibrium analysis,this thesis observes,describes and analyzes the phenomenon and laws of Yunnan tourism industry system that is ongoing and will happen from the perspective of dynamic evolution,so as to find a new research perspective and method that is closer to the real development of tourism industry.The thesis is divided to the following three logical hierarchies:foreshadowing the theoretical basis,developing logic analysis,and exploring the practical significance.Theoretical research:Demonstrating and speculatively analyzing the rationality and objectivity of the application of evolution analytical paradigm to the research of tourism industry system,from theoretical origins,paradigm comparison,and the application of theories.Setting up the framework of theoretical analysis,the industrial economics theory as the base,evolutionary economics theory as the guideline,and self-organizing theory as tool,so as to establish systematic theoretical basis and solid academic foundation for the whole thesis.Proposing dynamic collaborative research approach for the tourism industry self-organizing evolution.Starting from the basic assumption,under the evolution rationalism methodology,the thesis establishes logical relations between the core concepts and the objectives,raising three questions that the thesis is committed to answer:First,how to express the development and evolution of tourism industry and do methodology innovation from the perspective of evolutionary economics?Second,how the dynamic mechanism of the tourism industry system evolution is formed and playing its role?Third,what the research of Yunnan tourism industry system evolution can bring to policy implications?Empirical research:The research of applied theory will eventually used to the forecasting,explaining,analyzing and enlightening of social and economic practice.This thesis,from the perspective of evolutionary economics,provides new working perspectives for the empirical research of Yunnan tourism development.The thesis reviews,analyzes and summarizes the development trend of tourism industry,Chinese tourism industry and Yunnan tourism industry from the perspectives of history and critical reasoning,indicating that Yunnan tourism industry reflects both the common features of tourism industry and the particular Yunnan characteristics.It demonstrates that Yunnan tourism industry system complies with the characteristics of self-organizing system,like the openness,non-equilibrium,nonlinear,non-fluctuation,etc.,which are the requirements to use dynamic collaborative research approach.This thesis summarizes the generals and features of different stages of Yunnan tourism industry evolution,and analyzes the process of its self-organizing evolution.It analyzes the whole process of the dynamic collaborative evolution of Yunnan tourism industry system,including the control of variables input,state variables competition and coordination,order parameters evolution.The thesis using structural equation model,makes fitting verification for the empirical analysis,so as to strengthen the rationality and objectivity of the analysis of Yunnan tourism industry system evolution theory.Conclusion:Yunnan Tourism Industry Evolution system presents three levels:overall coordination,connotation development,and transformation and upgrading.Each stage possesses its development priorities and characteristics.The variable elements and process of the dynamic collaborative evolution of Yunnan tourism industry system can be described as following:as the order parameter of Yunnan tourism industry system,tourism development strategy,through servitude mechanism,supports,promotes and leads the Yunnan tourism industry system to develop to a higher level of the evolution;social economy,cultural environment and other factors are exogenous variables of Yunnan tourism industry system,influencing the Yunnan tourism industry by controlling parameters;state variables within the system mainly contains the innovation and non-innovation,the collaboration and competition of which push the generation of system order parameter.Being difficult to be achieved by design or intervention,the orderly evolution of the tourism industry system should be regarded as a self-organizing evolution system.Therefore,the strategic design and policy implementation should be focused on creating external environment,guiding the order parameter,motivating state parameters,and promoting collaboration and competition mechanism.The thesis proposes suggestions for policy making:1.In the tourism industry evolution,government and market cooperate with each other to achieve development and evolution.2.The role orientation,strategic planning,policy designing,policy tools of the government should be systematic,forward-looking,dynamic and adjustable.3.The policy performance should also be evaluated and judged in the dynamic evolution and the whole system.4.In the future,great importance should be attached to strengthening the tourism innovation and setting up"intelligent government-led model" for the more orderly development of Yunnan tourism industry.
