Documents No.1 of the Central Committee were issued in 2015 and 2016,"we should promote structural reform of the agricultural supply side, accelerate the transformation of agricultural development mode, optimize the layout of construction, build high-standard farmland in major grain-producing areas to ensure food security, and support grain-producing areas to build core areas of grain production".While paying attention to moderately expanding aggregate demand,China's agricultural supply-side structural reform thinks that the main aspect of contradiction between supply and demand of agriculture lies in the supply-side,and takes the new direction of agricultural structural adjustment represented by agricultural project area, grain function area and superior characteristic agricultural industry belt as an effective way to promote China's agricultural modernization(Jiang Changyun,2010).From the macro level, building high-quality and good farmland and promoting the level of production agglomeration have become one of the important factors affecting the development of agriculture in China.Production agglomeration is entering a very important period in the field of agriculture. The development trend of global production agglomeration is obvious.China's production agglomeration is still in its infancy, and the effect of production agglomeration has just emerged. At present, the research on production agglomeration in academia mainly focuses on the macro-level analysis of research methods, evolution trends and industry characteristics of production agglomeration level. It does not directly elaborate how the level of production agglomeration affects grain production, especially the lack of impact on China's grain production efficiency. Therefore, there is a lack of comprehensive understanding and in-depth understanding of the development trend of production agglomeration level for China's food production, and even national food security. On the other hand,it also restricts the government's construction process in the field of food production, and hinders the effective formulation and promotion of relevant targeted policies. From the existing literature,it can be seen that the agglomeration phenomenon brought by production agglomeration in China is more and more obvious. From the macro level, the data show that the level of production agglomeration of China's planting industry is on the rise.Based on Gini coefficient method, the change of crops in China is estimated. The research shows that the trend of crop production agglomeration has been formed continuously from 1980 to 2012,and the production agglomeration of planting industry has increased from 0.3910 in 1980 to 0.4510 in 2012.From the point of view of subsection crops, the level of grain crop production agglomeration is on the rise, from 0.394 in 1980 to 0.5120 in 2012(Chen Tian,2014).China's grain production efficiency has also maintained a sustained growth, from 0.711 in 2001 to 0.791 in 2010,and from 0.786 in 2001 to 0.873 in 2010(Malingjing,2014).With the development of modern agriculture, the level of grain crop production agglomeration shows a rising trend.Does the change of production agglomeration have a dual impact on factors of production and output,to a certain extent, promote the improvement of grain production efficiency and further affect the change of single factor input efficiency?Based on the provincial panel data from 1996 to 2015 and from the perspective of production agglomeration, through systematic theoretical and empirical analysis, this paper deeply studies the impact of production agglomeration level on grain production efficiency, and expounds the reasons for regional heterogeneity of grain production efficiency. To provide scientific decision-making basis for promoting China's grain production, improving grain production efficiency and ensuring national food security and formulating relevant policies. The full text is divided into three parts. The main research contents and relevant conclusions are as follows:Research content one:Analysis of endowment characteristics on the formation and evolution of production agglomeration and its influencing factors. On the basis of theoretical analysis, this part further explores the incentives of production agglomeration level.Firstly, the formation and evolution trend of production agglomeration are analyzed.Secondly, the impact of agricultural resource endowment and external conditions on the level of production agglomeration is analyzed.Using the provincial panel data from 1996 to 2015,in the process of empirical analysis, panel data model and system generalized moment estimation were used to analyze the impact of agricultural resources endowment and external factors on production agglomeration.Using the provincial panel data from 1996 to 2015,in the process of empirical analysis, panel data model and system generalized moment estimation were used to analyze the impact of agricultural resources endowment and external factors on production agglomeration. The results show that,on the one hand, production agglomeration is evolved and developed under the influence of natural endowment advantages, planting habits and national macro-structure adjustment. On the other hand, agricultural resources endowment can promote the level of production agglomeration. From the perspective of development trend, the quantity of agricultural cultivated land and agricultural technology level in agricultural resource endowment show a "U" trend for production agglomeration, while the quantity of agricultural labor force and the stock of agricultural capital show an "inverted U" trendResearch content two:Production agglomeration and grain production efficiencyOn the basis of theoretical analysis, this part mainly analyses the impact of the rising level of production agglomeration on grain production efficiency.Firstly, using the provincial panel data from 1996 to 2015,the production efficiency of grain crops in China was estimated by using the stochastic frontier production function.Secondly, through the panel data fixed effect model and panel data tool variable model,we empirically test the impact of production agglomeration level on grain production efficiency. Finally, the impact paths of production agglomeration and grain production efficiency are tested one by one.The results show that,on the one hand,China's grain production efficiency has increased steadily year by year, from 0.735 in 1996 to 0.781,up 6.3%.And there are obvious differences among different regions.Secondly, the proportion of non-agricultural employment is chosen as a tool variable to verify the previous hypothesis that the improvement of production agglomeration level has a promoting effect on grain production efficiency. Finally, through empirical verification, production agglomeration promotes the improvement of grain production efficiency in China through the level of farmers, agricultural industry and economic development.Research content three:production agglomeration and single factor production efficiency.Based on the analysis of production agglomeration and grain production efficiency, this part further explores the impact of production agglomeration on single factor production efficiency(cultivated land, labor force and machinery).Firstly, the stochastic frontier production function is still used to calculate the cultivated land use efficiency, mechanical use efficiency and labor production efficiency respectively.Secondly, the effects of production agglomeration level on cultivated land use efficiency, machinery use efficiency and labor production efficiency were analyzed. The results show that:in general, production agglomeration level promotes the improvement of single factor production efficiency through agglomeration effect.By further observing the production agglomeration congestion effect, the regression results with the production agglomeration quadratic term show that the coefficient of influence on single factor production efficiency has decreased. In terms of sub-factors,production agglomeration has a positive correlation with labor productivity, and has a trend of hindering and promoting land use efficiency and machine use efficiency.Based on the research content of the full text, this paper also puts forward corresponding policy recommendations:Develop characteristic agricultural agglomeration areas according to local conditions, strengthen specialized advantage areas, and improve grain production efficiency in China. At the same time,in the process of transforming traditional agriculture,it is the only way to improve the efficiency of agricultural single factor production. Finally,we should increase policy and financial support, optimize the development environment of agglomeration areas, and improve the comparative advantages of agglomeration areas.Production agglomeration;Grain production efficiency;Resource endowment;Labor production efficiency;Land use efficiency;Mechanical efficiency;...
