Marx's Theory Of Supply And Demand And Its Contemporary Value

As the most basic element of economics,supply and demand determine or influence the operation of the national economy.When supply and demand match each other,market supply and demand will be balanced,social products will be realized,and the economy will be in a healthy and orderly development trend.When supply and demand are unbalanced,social production will be restrained,economic growth rate will decline,and serious imbalance between supply and demand will even lead to economic crisis.Since supply and demand play such an important role in economic development,the theoretical circles have studied the supply and demand issue as an important topic since ancient times.As early as in the period of slavery society,thinkers had put forward theoretical views on agricultural production and supply of agricultural products.Later,with the continuous development of commodity economy and the expansion of social production and consumption,economists in various periods made extensive and in-depth studies on supply and demand,and put forward a series of supply and demand theories.These theories of supply and demand are like bright stars,shining brightly in the sky of economic theory system,the most dazzling one is Marx's theory of supply and demand.The theoretical system of Marxist political economy took social production relations as the research object,emphatically analysed capitalist economic relations,established labor value theory,surplus value theory and capital accumulation theory,and reveals the inexorable law of social operation and development.Supply and demand is an important part of Marx's above-mentioned theory.Among the existing research results,economists have studied supply and demand from the aspects of market value and price relationship,social capital reproduction theory and economic crisis theory,but they have not systematized Marx's supply and demand theory.Therefore,in this dissertation we chose this research topic,focused on the development of economic thought,sorted out the ideological source,main content,inheritance and development of Marx's theory of supply and demand.and analyzed the structural imbalance of supply and demand in China and put forward countermeasures and proposals from the perspective of Marx's theory of supply and demand.Firstly,this paper combs and analyses the supply and demand theory before Marx,and summarizes the ideas of ancient thinkers and classical economists about supply and demand.They provide the ideological source and theoretical material for Marx to establish scientific supply and demand theory.Then,this paper divides Marx's supply and demand theory into micro and macro parts.The micro-supply and demand theory analyses the connotation of supply and demand and their interaction with market value,market price and market supply and demand.The macro-supply and demand theory includes the meaning of social total supply and demand,the balance of total supply and demand,the imbalance of total supply and demand,and its regulation and control.The micro-part is the basis of macro-part,and the macro-part is the development of the micro-part,both together constitute a perfect theoretical system.Furthermore,this paper summarizes the supply and demand theories of western economics such as neoclassical economics,Keynesian economics and supply school,and analyses them with Marx's theory of supply and demand,so as to define the content,characteristics and significance of Marx's theory of supply and demand more clearly.Furthermore,this paper combs the CPC's expositions on supply and demand in various periods since the founding of the People's Republic of China.It can be seen that it is the succession and development of Marx's supply and demand theory and the achievement of the Sinicization of Marx's supply and demand theory.Finally,this paper reviews the development and changes of China's market supply and demand,and analyses the structural contradictions between the current market supply and demand.Under the guidance of Marx's theory of supply and demand,it puts forward countermeasures and suggestions for deepening the structural reform of supply side and improving the structure of market supply and demand.There are two main innovations in this dissertation.Firstly,from the perspective of the history of economic thought,this paper attempts to systematically comb and summarize Marx's supply and demand theory from the micro and macro levels,and combining a scientific comparative analysis with the relevant scholars' views on the relevant theory of supply and demand,to reveal that Marx's theory of supply and demand is constantly developing and self-improving.This is an important theoretical guiding significance for China's adherence to and development of Marxism in the new era and the deepening of research on the theory of supply and demand with the combination of reality.Secondly,from the perspective of policy guidance,based on Marx's supply and demand theory,this paper analyzes the macro environment and scientific basis of China's supply-side structural reform,and analyzes the characteristics and causes of China's supply and demand imbalance based on Marx's supply and demand theory,and then proposes reform proposals about how to eliminate the current China's economic supply and demand imbalance.This is not only the inheritance and development of Marxist theory,but also provides policy guidance for promoting supply-side structural reform and regulating the mechanism of supply and demand.Further it strengthens policy support for promoting high-quality economic development.
