Abstract/Summary:
This study examined the over-emphasis on winning attitudes of male varsity basketball players attending urban and rural high schools in District III. Participants for the study were male varsity basketball players at public high schools located in Alabama's Black Belt for 2008--2009.;A total of 206 male varsity basketball players completed the Peoples' Win At All Cost Survey (PWACS) instrument that was developed by the researcher. Responses to the PWACS indicated no significance differences in over-emphasis on winning attitudes of male varsity basketball players attending urban and rural schools; for school classifications; and for winning percentages.
